“Birthday weekend”
Reviewed 9 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

My wife booked Slade Barn on the Gower Peninsular - to celebrate our sons birthday. We arrived on the Thursday afternoon to be welcomed by Martin the owner and were shown round the Barn - it is beautifully appointed and very well thought out, Martin is very charming and helpful and showed us all the necessities before going back to his bungalow - right next door. However The Barn is totally secluded and secure which is particularly useful as we took our black lab away for the weekend. The Barn is very well equipped and appointed with three lovely bedrooms all with en suite, nice little touches like the electric blinds on the Velux windows. a really good music player and colour TV, dishwasher, and all modern electrical equipment there really isn't anything else we could have wished for. Its quiet and yet conveniently located for all points of the Gower and surrounded by lots of excellent pubs and restaurants. Martin has gone to a lot of trouble to provide an excellent guide to not only the house amenities, but local walks and excellent descriptions of the local hostelries. We all really enjoyed our stay, it was very relaxing and we could not have hoped for a better place to stay we'd certainly highly recommend this holiday let.

“A perfect weekend escape”
Reviewed 28 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

The barn conversion is beautifully done, to the highest standard. The area is quiet, with lovely seaside walks; Slade beach is the nearest beach but very rocky. Oxwich bay is also nearby, this is the perfect family beach with good access and lovely sands.

Wonderful family Christmas spent at Slade Barn, and a truly magical way to celebrate our baby girl's first Christmas with big brother Tom. Martin could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend. Not only is the barn incredibly well equipped but it is immaculate too. Will return!

“First Class”
Reviewed 24 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Have just returned from an absolutly beautiful week away in Slade Barn. Was made to feel very welcome by Martin who telephoned prior to arrival to confirm arrangements.
Slade Barn itself was a delight with some very nice touches.
An added bonus was the weather which for mid/late October was mild and sunny.
Felt welcomed and Martin explained how everything worked, plus there was a very comprehensive welcome pack detailing the local area and further afield.
Thank you very much.

“Great choice for large family holiday”
Reviewed 29 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Slade Barn which was shared with our adult children, their partners and a baby. The very cleverly converted barn offered spacious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms which meant we all had our personal space as well as a very comfortable living room. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, although feel that a bit more storage space would have been useful as the cupboards were so full of crockery, pots and pans etc there was not too much room for food - however I am being picky. The location is good, being near Oxwich beach and midway between the resorts of Rosseli and Mumbles. Thanks for a lovely holiday! Hope to return sometimes.
