The pub is very nice and cosy with friendly staff.

My husband and son had the burgers on brioche buns which they thought were extremely tasty and well presented.

My daughter and I ordered a Prawn Sandwich and a Tuna Sandwich.

The sandwiches come with coleslaw, crisps and a salad - which was just lettuce leaves, not what I consider a salad.

The Prawn Sandwich consisted of 2 slices of thin tasteless shop bought bread, cut in half. The sauce was overbearing and abundant, so much so, the bread was a soggy mess, and there was no way it could be eaten as a sandwich. So the bread was discarded and the prawns were eaten with the salad leaves and coleslaw.

The Tuna Sandwich was truly tasteless. Again served on shop bought thin, bread.

So lunch for two of us was a huge disappointment, and a total waste of our time and money. I think sandwiches are a popular choice on menus and The Fleece really needs to up it’s game on the quality of bread, make the sandwiches edible, tasty and delicious, and also offer a more exciting choice than what they have on the menu.

Great place. Good food and very comfortable and clean accommodation with an excellent shower! Staff are also very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is also good with the full English having all that one would wish for. Would highly recommend.

Room Tip: All rooms are good!

Turned up and asked about good. Lots of tables empty. Tables stayed empty for the hour we were there, but I was told I could look at a Menu but couldn't order. Couldn't eat in the Bar. Odd hospitality and business practice. Had a pint then left. Tables still empty.

My husband and four week old son stayed here last night for the very first time. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome and that nothing was too much trouble. We were shown to a gorgeous ground floor bedroom which was both luxurious but also homely. It was a great size to accommodate our luggage and all the essential baby gear! We had a lovely evening meal here and we felt that he food was of a very high standard and the service was outstanding.

To conclude, The Fleece Inn is definitely worth a visit and we look forward to coming here again soon.

Room Tip: Ground floor for excellent accessibility

Quick lunch for two after shopping trip to Malmo just off M6 Forton. Landed towards end of lunch service and a very warm welcome, bar staff reception was great. Open fires and a busy dining room provided great atmosphere. Sticky ribs shared then two quality burgers. The chips were massive. Food portions are large, certainly get value for money. Great play are for kids outside but alas too cold. Highly recommended.
