We had booked the place for 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary. My wife was carrying, so wanted to book a nice property where our needs would be taken care of.
We had mentioned that we needed a room closest to the lobby, but were given the farthest. We took it sportively considering that it was supposed to be a quaint offbeat place. We went to our room and were really excited to use the jacuzzi after the long drive. The water flow was so slow that it took 1 and 1/2 he’s to fill 1/3rd of the jacuzzi. We then just turned the jacuzzi on to see if it is worth waiting for another 2 hours. But as soon as we did, some dead cockroach body parts came out. We were quiet disappointed and then the flush was not functioning. We called the house keeping, they sent someone who had no clue and said that it can be repaired only on the next day. Between all this the power went out, and since opening windows was not an option because of insects, it became quiet suffocating very quickly. I kept calling the team for this and nobody turned up. So along with my pregnant wife we had to walk down to the lobby to get our problem addressed. Upon going to the reception, the manager was sitting in his cabin and wouldn’t come out to address it. By this time we were regretting booking this place. Our anniversary was not at all going as planned. The apathy of the manager was adding salt to injury. His reaction was very disappointing. Instead of accepting problem and trying to address it right away, he was defensive and almost arrogant. This made us immediately want to cancel the booking and leave. However, it was quiet dark and the road to the property isn’t safe to drive in the dark, so we asked the manager to cancel our second nights stay. This was also not handled properly. They were asking us to talk to the online travel agent we booked through. This was the last thing I wanted to do for the remaining evening. After a lot of request, they agreed to cancel the booking for second night and shifted us to another room for the night. When you pay 14k for a night your expectations are set accordingly, hence consistent with the other things the food came as a disappointment as well. After getting reassurance from the manager that the refund will be processed and we should not have to follow up for it, we checked out the next day. I probably wouldn’t have written this review, if they had processed the refund smoothly. After 3 follow ups, I had to talk to the agent and get it done.
