The biggest selling point of this estate, is the historic lodge and the beautiful paths that lead you right into the heart of the coffee plantation, not to forget the most amazing morning views of the sun rising over the Coorg mountains. (Apparently, the only other place to have this view is the Taj)

I loved the natural rugged beauty of the estate, and the quaint appearance of the individual cottage rooms. I also loved the bathroom which was massive and had a separate small tub for a foot spa. But it is the food which was disappointing. There was very limited variety as well as being very unpresentable. However, the taste was not too bad, and we were also aware that the hotel was dealing with a crisis situation in the kitchen due to some staff having abruptly left.

Having said that, it must also be mentioned that the hotel didn't charge us for any of the extra food we ordered such as hot or cold coffees or ice creams. And I must say that their espresso was one of the best I've ever had. Their estate is right next to the TATA coffee estate (which provides the beans for Starbucks), which probably shows that the quality of the coffees of these estates is the most superior coffee in this region.

I was also grateful for the staff bringing me a prayer mat, having made the observation that I would need one because I wear a scarf. That was very thoughtful of them.

The manager and servers were all very keen to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and would politely oblige to all requests.

No words to describe about our stay here , was a lovely experience. We got ourself out and started scouting around the property and there is so much to know about this heavenly space. Waking up for the birds chirping was the best here..I just fell in love , we are visiting here again and again :)

We stayed here in the second week of January. I believe it is the lean period because on the first day, we were the only guests at the resort. The location is amazing, smack in the middle of a functioning coffee plantation. No cellphone reception and no WiFi in the rooms. That's a plus point in my book! The morning views were great and the chirping of birds with the great coffee were awesome. The meals were nice and satisfying.We did the plantation walk and our guide was excellent (Apologies! I can't remember his name). My kid really enjoyed the two hour hike.My only grouse was that the level of service was not upto par. I believe it was not because of lack of trying. Most of the staff, I think, were new; without much experience or training. That is one area that could use a lot of improvement, and would go a long way in making the experience much better.
