overall this was a good stay at a nice holiday park (see separate review)

However the on site restaurant facilities are so awful they are worthy of a separate review.

Arrived on the Friday after long journey. couldn't be bothered to cook or go off site so decided to use the on site chip shop. After waiting nearly 15 minutes to be served, we were told no chips available as fryer broken, could only have what had already been cooked, which transpired to be cold fish

Next night thought we would try the restaurant. Sat down around 5.30 and ordered food. No indication we would have to wait almost TWO HOURS for food to arrive, for food that was simply awful. Lasagne which was just sheets of pasta and cheese (no beef) wife's diner had completely raw vegetables. Couple on table next to us had to wait similar time for just a pizza, and they still made the wrong one!

Last night thought we'd try the chippy again. Seems every order is cooked fresh by the most inexperienced person (can't call him a chef), so we had to wait over 30mins for six chicken nuggets ..... certainly not fast food

All in all the catering facilities are a real let down to what otherwise is a good holiday park.
Believe me, it would be quicker to drive into the chippy in the local down

Came for Easter but had power cuts galore. Would feel sorry for them but does seem it happens every year when they are suddenly busy so why can't they prepare for this, they knew Easter would be busy.

So couldn't use pool, arcades, kids evening entertainment cancelled. Not exactly the relaxing 3 day break we'd planned.

The entertainment team worked really hard but that didn't help the struggle to get a seat in the club house or the mass queues to get a drink in there.

To top it off went for dinner Sunday evening and it took 1hour 40 minutes to cook 2 kids hot dogs and chips!! Complained so many times, the poor chap on the till who I did feel sorry for had completely had enough and kept saying " yeah course you be had enough so have a go at me". Wasn't having a go at him directly, just wanted my kids to eat at a fairly descent time. They ended up missing most the kids entertainment

Definitely won't be going back

This is the second time we have stayed at this park & it was just as good this time.
Check in straight forward and the park was of a good standard. Reception staff extremely helpful, in particular Julie who resolved an issue we had..Her customer service was outstanding as was Ana’s the bar manager. Good location, with lots of local attractions close by

Recommend the Clay pipe Inn down the road for great food at super prices.

We originally wanted to book warmwell having heard so much about it but this one was in the area ans warmwell was full for our dates. We bookes via the sun and upgraded to a van with heating sue to the weather. The van was well stocked with what we needed even no breakable cups and plates for young children. It also had a walk in wardrobe! Check in was quick and our van was quite close to the entertainment but not too close so we had peaceful evenings. The park was clean and had a nice feel set in woodlands. All staff were friendly and the shop was well stocked and reasonable. The arcades were good and the children won lots of prizes. The entertainment was the usual parkdean stuff enjoyed by all. The location was good with lots to see nearby. A very enjoyable visit.

The good . The park was nice and clean and the coupe of niggles I had, staff felt with promptly.
There was several power cars the first night, but the next day and a generator arrived and again this sorted the problem.
We had upgraded to the new van which was well worth the money a beautiful van which I could not vault except for one major dangerous problem..
The bad, on my last day I cooked a cooked breakfast I left the frying pan on and went to the bathroom (yes I know very stupid). Well I came back to the pan on fire and the van full of smoke. I managed to throw w wet tea towel over it, and everything ok. But my shock was no smoke alarm went off . I had no door or windows open or extractor on..
If the alarm had gone off it would of alerted me quicker !
This is so dangerous a brand new fancy van and no alarm ! In future I will be checking and obviously will not be leaving pan on.
But management SORT THIS OUT!

Also food dreadful in canteen un melted “melt” disgusting
