This place is a fantastic value. We had a large, comfortable clean room two blocks from the central plaza. The interior of the hotel is very beautiful and has a nice pool. In fact, the pool area is really lovely and probably the nicest part of the hotel. It has ancient walls and palm trees. It has that quintessential Yucatan style, However, we were disappointed that the pool closed early (9pm), but the staff allowed us to sit by the pool after that and enjoy a glass of wine. This was greatly appreciated since there are not a lot of sitting areas in the common areas of the hotel.
One item of note is Trip Advisor lists the hotel as having 'free parking' which is more or less true, if you consider parking on the street as free parking. I suppose by that standard every hotel in the Centro has free parking! Having rented a car, I was a little nervous to be faced with having to find a spot on the street after a day of visiting the ruins. However, it did not end up being a problem as I was able to find parallel parking within 3-4 blocks every night.
We would definitely stay here again!More
