We have just spent a week in Newlyn and ate at this lovely pub twice.
The food is excellent, unfortunately not all our choices were available on the Bank holiday, but they said they had been really busy.
We can highly recommend the scampi, the Guiness pie and the crab salad.
Only one young man serving food and running the bar, and he seemed rushed off his feet at times.
The only down side is there is a pool table at the front of the pub which meant our conversation was drowned out by some noisy men. It would be better if they replaced this with more chairs for pre or after dinner drinks.

Atmospheric small pub serving very good food. Fish pie, Guinness pie, fish cakes , Quorn Spag Bol all excellent and well presented. Very friendly, attentive and engaging bar staff. Great local ale.

Walked along from Penzance and was tempted in by the menu on the chalkboard. What a great decision that was. Friendly welcome and the tastiest crab soup ever. Just what we needed after walking against strong winds.

We stumbled into this place and at first were pleased with the cozy feel and good atmosphere. We decided to go back to eat on another night. The food was disappointing and low quality. They were out of all types of fish which was odd as its right on the harbour, but it was Christmas, so we went for the steak and the Guiness Pie. It was average and not what we expected.

Great crab soup with garlic bread facing the historical harbour of the ten with panoramic views across the bay to Penzance and St. Michael’s. Deaf barman so pronounce words well.
