“Spacious, secluded, peaceful.”
Reviewed 14 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

A fantastic, clean, well equipped place with very friendly and accommodating owners. Our party of seven included a grandma with mobility issues and three children under seven who all wanted to run around a lot. They all loved the indoor and outdoor space (with a gate that could secure the outside so they had a fab time running all around the property). The number of bathrooms was brilliant for us - and the fully accessible bathroom downstairs meant grandma had independence and we didn't worry about how she was doing. There are so many things to do and see within a short drive or a little walk but we also enjoyed peaceful bbqs in the back and stargazing at night. Lovely bedding too. Recommend a visit to the games room and hide (not wheelchair accessible) where the sister cottages are situated - a good walk and interesting destination for our little ones.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay at Crowthorne. We certainly had a glorious August this year. Although the games room is wheelchair accessible, I acknowledge that the field is a little bumpy for a wheelchair, I will look into clearing a better path.

“Best Holiday Accommodation Ever, especially if wheelchair user”
Reviewed 21 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Two couples with two dogs for annual dog-walking holiday - one a wheelchair user with a Tramper (off road electric scooter) - delighted from the moment we arrived until we left. This 'barn-conversion' (very spacious) cottage has everything that one needs for a great holiday: beautiful rural setting, enclosed garden, open-plan ground floor, very well designed ground floor bed room with en suite wet room with roll-in shower (+/- shower chair/stool) - unusually well designed with accessible basin and well supported loo.
Extremely well furnished with good beds and quality fittings. Fast broadband (17 MBPS download), wooden floors with underfloor heating (ground floor), 'smart TV' and even a table football game!
The only problem was that there is a deep gravel forecourt that makes handling a wheelchair very difficult - it would be much easier if half was moved somewhere else!

“FAB-U-LOUS”
Reviewed 27 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Amazing property really suitable for our family group of seniors which included some with walking difficulties. Every bedroom had it's own en-suite which is always a bonus, very comfortable beds, quality bedding, spotlessly clean and kitchen superbly equipped, wanted for nothing.

“very enjoyable, comfortable stay for all”

Crowthorne is an excellent holiday destination within easy reach of everything you could want. The facilities are very good and the few tiny issues we had were dealt with very quickly and did not detract from the stay. The cottage was large enough for all 8 of us ( and the two dogs) and was not crowded at all, but due to the weather most of the time was spent in the large garden with the BBQ getting a great deal of use. Very good pubs nearby with good food and only a short drive to Dorchester and the Jurassic coast. The wildlife hide was well worth a visit, it was the first time that we have seen live badgers (ended up seeing 5 at once!).We would definitely go back.
