It's comfortable, the staff are extremely friendly and the food is excellent. Fortunately I have the opportunity to visit regularly through my work. I have also brought my family here and my children had great fun. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: The area is hot so air conditioning is recommended.

My friend and I visited this small area near Rio Claro at the end of a 2-week long backpacking trip. We did not know about the holiday weekend that follows New Years in Colombia, and found it much more difficult/impossible to find accommodations without a reservation in this area. We were very fortunate to run into a Colombian couple who offered us a ride to the nearest hotel to try and find a place for us to stay. They brought us to Los Colores, a beautiful place that my friend and I could only describe as a "heavenly paradise". The people working at the hotel had a room available for us for the night, but were completely booked up the following night. We would have to find a place to stay the next night, in addition to figuring out how to get back to the city of Bogota in time to make our flight back to the states. One of the Owner/Manager's, Jorge, was absolutely the most genuinely kind man. He really helped us, which my friend and I will be forever grateful for. Not only did he help us find a place to stay that second night, but he also helped us get back to Bogota safely and on time. A lifesaver would be an understatement. Thank you Jorge for your kindness and for welcoming us into the beautiful los colores hotel. The Los Colores hotel is surrounded by beautiful tropical forest and lush hills. Rooms are cute and clean. Delicious breakfast and dinner are included with your stay, and the staff is so very helpful. I hope some day I might be able to return to the Rio Claro area in Colombia, and if I do, I would definitely go back to Los Colores :)

Room Tip: We stayed in a small cottage near the pool, very cute and very clean.

It was not my initial plan to stay at this hotel since the prices are high for what it is, but after dealing with the hotels associated to "hacienda Napoles", I should have selected it from the beginning.

The hotel is the usual Colombian "campestre": very basic rooms (old TV, bad soap, small bathroom, etc.), nice weather, swimming pool surrounded by trees, animals, and plants. As I already mentioned, the hotel is expensive, I think this due to the fact that they have fantastic weather, they are the only descent accommodation you can find easily online and most "campestre" hotels in Colombia are usually expensive for what they offer.

The food and drinks were good, nothing fancy, plus they have a lot of variety. The service was good as well.

Hi, I read the other reviews and am wondering if it's about the same place. It was OK but not a good value for the money (and we are not high maintenance travelers. we have traveled to over 50 countries, backpacked alot, stayed in all kinds of places from shacks to 5 star hotels.) We paid nearly $200 US dollars for lodging and meals for a family of 4 (which is alot in Colombia!) and it was a rip-off given the quality of the services.

The hotel grounds are pretty but things are abit shabby (the pool for instance could use a cleaning). The food was fairly good for the most part but the eggs mixed with ketchup we were served for breakfast were the worst eggs we have ever had. "How can you screw up eggs?" said my husband.

The rooms too were a little shabby and the bathrooms poorly cleaned (soap scum in the soap dishes, etc) but our biggest complaint was about the mattresses! They were awful. The absolutely worst we have ever had to sleep on in any place we have ever stayed (including shacks for $2 per night). The mattresses for the grown ups were full size and felt like sleeping on wooden boards with holes in between them. They were so uncomfortable! And there were no windows in the room, just a main door. This meant that even though it was very refreshing outside at night, you had to either run the AC (which I don't like unless it's super hot) or be in a warm, stagnant air room. Overall, not a great experience!

Room Tip: Maybe the superior rooms have better mattresses.
