Our family stayed in this beautiful villa for 2 weeks around Easter 2016.
We were met at the airport by Komang, the villa manager, and after a long flight and the hot humid temperature of midday in Denpasar we were happy of the air conditioned transport back to the villa.
The villa consists of 2 buildings. One has 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and separate sitting areas. This villa also has a main sitting area with a tv and dvd player. Both bedrooms are well furnished and have very comfortable beds.
The second villa houses a four poster bed and en-suite bathroom.
The eating/dining area is set on top of the 2nd villa and has fantastic views over the surrounding area and sea. In the evenings, we sat and watched as the sun went down whilst eating our freshly prepared meal.
Elu, was our cook and cleaner and nothing was too much trouble for her. All the meals were prepared to our exact requirements.......and to say the food was amazing would be an understatement. Rice dishes, noodles, soups etc were all created with fresh produce brought on that day. Local Balinese food was also a massive hit with all of the family.
Once finished with the cooking of breakfast, Elu would clean the rooms, bring fresh towels every day and keep the running of the place in top condition.
We had various trips booked, so some mornings we would leave early, but Elu was there to cook breakfast before we left. Other times we would arrive back late, but our evening meal would've been prepared. Like I said before, Elu is a credit to the running of this villa and nothing is too much trouble for her.
The pool was a god send! Most of our "chilled" days were spent around the pool sunbathing, but when it got too hot, there was nothing nicer than to dive into our own private pool to cool us down.
Komang would visit the villa most nights, so if you wanted any trips booking or taking down to the local for a few scoops, he was readily available.
I think Komang knows most of the people in Lovina, so always seems to get the best deals on trips. He organised for us to go dolphin watching followed by snorkelling in the coral reef. He took us on a self guided tour of the local rice fields and temples. He arranged our scuba diving experience. He took us white water rafting near to Ubud followed by time in Ubuds local markets. He arranged for our daughter to swim with the dolphins..........I don't think there is anything this guy could not sort out for you. Once again another credit to the managing of this villa.
I would highly recommend this villa to everyone and we look forward to returning in the near future.

The villa is set in beautiful surroundings. There are in fact two villas on the property but we only used one of them. Set in Indonesian style it was very spacious. The staff who came everyday were lovely. Komang the driver and manager picked us up from the airport. The next morning Elu (a lovely Balinese girl) our chef prepared our breakfast of fresh fruit, eggs and bacon, toast, tea, coffee and a fruit smoothie. She asked us what time we wanted our dinner and what food we wanted. We left it with Elu and she cooked us a various Balinese meals which were always beautifully presented and cooked. The dining area and kitchen are set upstairs in the open and you have fantastic views of the sea and tropical forest. Komang took us on a couple of trips out, to see the temples, the elephant park, the beach, and shopping. It was very peaceful staying at the villa and the staff would leave us for the day so we could relax and sit by the pool. Komang even arranged for us to have a Balinese massage by the pool which was wonderful. We had some laundry to do and this was taken to a launderette and bright back washed and ironed the same day and cost about £1.50. All in all we couldn't fault where we stayed and although we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and a birthday I kept thinking that it was a perfect place for a honeymoon.
During our trip through Indonesia we had the pleasure to stay in the Taman Sari Villa. We stayed in with 4 adults and one child (3 years old). All of us had fun, especially with the clean pool in the yard, and enjoyed staying in the villa. You big rooms, cold AND warm water, clean/comfi beds, and 4 different balconies which evry guest can use individually.
We liked the staff, who honestly cleaned our rooms, kitchen and pool every single day without us asking for it. The cook was prepared for every meal we asked for and did even do all the shopping for us - it was like staying in a hotel but without having to queue for all the good stuff.
Although Lovina was not recommended in the tarvel guides, we do not regret going there. It is calm and has no parties but beautiful nature and temple sights in the closer area - but you definitely need a driver, scooter or car.
The staff organizes day trips for fair prices although negotiating is never wrong in Bali.
I would recommend staying there without doubt - it really is like it looks in the pictures.
