We took a family member out to celebrate a milestone birthday in this country pub. It was billed as 5 stars but to be honest the food was more homely that 5star.
The food took a long while to come and I’m assuming it was all freshly cooked, but potato wedges were a bit dark and soggy and a little burnt in places.
The steak was cooked well and onion jam really nice but would have liked it to be warmer. Other food fare at lunchtime fairly generalised, scampi and chips, sausage fries and gravy, chicken goujons and .. chips, bbq ribs and....chips
Not very inspired.
