What a wonderful morning 33 of us spent at Quaryat Dillar today!!! We were very warmly welcomed by Antonio on our arrival and introduced to our fantastic guide, Jose, who speaks excellent English. We walked a very short distance to the olive grove where we learned all about the growing and care of the Olive trees. We were then taken to see all the machinery involved in the making of Olive Oil, learning about all the various stages of production and we also saw the huge storage vats. We then followed Jose in the bus to a nearby, beautiful little hotel with fabulous views to the snow capped Sierra Nevadas, where we were taught how to taste the different types of Olive Oil. We sampled 5 different varieties of oil accompanied by bread from the local bakery. The tables were beautifully set up with napkins personalised for our tour. Afterwards we were able to order bottles of our choice and our orders were swiftly delivered, straight from the factory. These bottles were very reasonably priced! The whole tour was so professional and I can highly recommend a visit to Quaryat Dillar. I have never tasted such wonderful Virgen Extra Olive Oil!
