Arrived without making any previous booking which isn’t the normal way to visit this place. Nether the less, the manager gave us a warm welcome and squeezed in a small guided tour for us anyway. Very interesting. We got to see the olive gardens, the mill and try some different sorts of oil. All in all a very good experience that might have been better if we had pre-announced our visit at least 24h before. Small shop at the place.

I came with a group of 20 other college students, and our guides were hugely knowledgeable not only about their own production processes, but contextualized the industry norms and quality levels to help us understand the importance of aceite to Spain and the world, as well as how it ought to be best appreciated. Then, they led us through a tasting of two of the freshest, most unique olive oils I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I'll definitely be going back when family comes to visit, and will buy plenty of bottles to hand out as gifts!

(español abajo) Would definitely recommend a visit to Quaryat Dillar! The olive oil tasting was incredible and our hosts taught us an incredible amount about olive oil tasting, apprecation and what to look for in your olive oil taste and smell. The passion that Quaryat Dillar puts into their olive oil production is clearly evident and we learned so much touring around the orchard, factory and tasting the oil at the end accompanied by delicious, fresh local bread! Definitely try to make it out to Quaryat Dillar if you can.

This was an amazing experience! It was a chance to learn things I never knew about olives, olive oil, regional history, the oil production process, and the modern olive oil market. Tour included the orchard, production facility, and tasting session in two beautiful locations. We were made to feel at home to ask any questions we had, and there were always intriguing answers.

The mill is located in the Sierra Nevada Natural Park, at 1000 metres above see level, quite close to Granada (some 20 minutes). The surroundings of the "finca" are wonderful. The visit was very informative about how olive oil extraction has evolved from a family subsistence economy to the reality of modern organic agriculture. All the steps of the process, growing the trees, collection, extraction etc. were explained in great details in an entertaining way. We also had a very nice olive oil tasting session. Really worth going!
