One of the largest temple complex in South India, made in Pandava style, with the large Thoppa Kulam (large water tank) in side the temple complex itself. The main gopuram entrance take you directly to Nellaiyapper (LORD SIVA), of course like any other large south Indian temple you will walk through a series of round before you reach the deity. Equally big temple you will reach through the side entrance to Kanthimathi amman. You require a minimum of 3 to 4 hours to have a complete round of the temple.
