The Haritha Coconut Country Resort run by APTDC (the state tourism development corporation) is a largely clean, well managed resort on the banks of Godavari river with stunning river views. All suites have direct view of the river, and many normal rooms do as well. There is a bar, a restaurant, a swimming pool, a children's play area and a boating service (that includes houseboats that can be rented upto a full day) that all make the place interesting. Service can be a bit unattentive, and we were disappointed not to get a cab service at "hotel-approved" rates but the outstanding view and Konaseema overall more than makes up for it!
The place is a little out of the way, just off the chinchinaada bridge and is close to Narasapur railway station (12 kms as per Google maps). We reached there by road from Hyderabad through Ravulapalem - a route I would discourage since Ravulapalem is a good 40+ kms away that takes 1.5 hours or more on narrow winding village roads and AC cabs are difficult to find.
The resort recommends the places close by - Antarvedi temple and the confluence of Godavari river into Bay of Bengal is a must see! There is a lighthouse just next to the confluence (need to climb 7-8 flights of stairs) which provides stunning views of the river, sea and land on each side of the tower. There is a Vashista ashrama next to the Antarvedi temple which is also interesting. A number of other places interesting nearby, and overall Konaseema is a great place to visit and Haritha coconut is the best place (there are only a few other options) to stay to visit.
