The good thing about choosing this resort was its in far south of Mandarmani 10km away from the town centre away from the buzz yet very sceenic beauty, here are the pros and cons:-
Pros :-
1.Small resort ,simple clean with most of the amenities
2. rooms are decent with AC working good 24*7 even there are some issue with voltage and power support
3.Have a very good restaurant which offers Indian ,Chinese and South India cuisine , een customization for kids /elderly
4.Offers decent breakfast Free with rooms
5.Unlikely other hotels in northern part of mandarmoni beach is much clean and close to the resort , monsoon the water is much closer and one can enjoy the sea bath as it is clean
6.Play area for clildrens are decent offers a lovely front view of the sea have seat area and lounge you can enjoy all day
7.Cafe and bar is a cool place to hang around , you may get a GOA type feeling offers good coctails and with range of booze
8.Staffs are well mannered and room service is decent.
9.You can see tajpur from this resort front its almost walking distance crossing the river once the bridge is ready (exected Aug 2022)

1.Crowd Quality can be an issue if you can avoid it better
2.Management lacks strong rules and regulation book so they are misused like people dipping in the pool with cigerrate and drinks in hand , no restriction unless complained
3. Over crowded Parking very less space to trun you car , even people parsk there car right in front of your room/cottage which is very odd
4.Food price is little higher than normal and they do not have any Buffet for lunch or Dinner
5.Buffet breakfast is ok if you are getting it included in your room frees (eg :- they serve you frooty or sclice in name of fresh juice LOL )
6.Order your food early so you get that in time ,
7. Rooms have issue with bugs so make sure to ask them spray well

Room tip: choose cottage rooms , they are are close to the cafe and garden

We have stayed ac deluxe room and both the rooms are same price but one room is specious and another is very small. We have stayed in first floor which has a Swimming pool view .Hotel is situated at the end of the beach. The road is very rough and patchy. If you go with bike then be careful.

location is good in fact best.
Bathrooms were clean and well equipped.
The water of swimming pool is clean
Beach is just outside hotel campus. During high tide, sea comes quite close to the hotel
they have children play area .
food is good but costly
they have lawn which is the best place(I think) .There is a separate evening snacks and bar counter called Mohana Cafe. This is also good.
price of the rooms are little high.
Internet speed was terrible.
The behavior of the staffs are average.
restaurant is not so spacious
I don't know about the cottages but the maintenance in the main building room was average.
there is no shops nearby. Hardly find one small tea stall

Room tip: chose 1st floor balcony room.

We stayed at this hotel in Oct'20 and were very surprised to see that the staff were not wearing any masks, even in front of tourists. However, we found out soon that none of the tourists were also wearing any masks in the hotel :)

The hotel is situated at the farthest end of the Mandarmani beach. The road to reach the hotel is very rough and patchy at places, specially because we were visiting just after the monsoon. After Mohana, there are only 2-3 hotels more on the beach. Hence there is not much crowd in the beach, which is the biggest advantage. After reaching the hotel, our luggage and cars were sanitiized properly. Rooms that were alloted to us were on the first floor with balcony. Rooms were very spacious and clean.

Food is good, but would suggest to stick to only bengali food for lunch and dinner. Prawn malai curry was excellent. We tried chinese one night but it was not that good. Food was served in the restaurant as well as in the room. Restaurant space is very small so it would be advisable to have food in the room, which was packed neatly and served. There is a small lawn where you can have tea/coffee/starters. Starters were pretty good - we had kababs, pomfret fry etc, sitting in the lawn.

Pets are allowed in the hotel. Hotel has a small swimming pool also.

Overall a good stay

What comes to mind as the best advantage for Mohana Beach Resort is its locational advantage. While coming from Kolkata to Digha, if you take a left turn from Chaul Khola bus stop, around 10 kms inside is this resort. The approach road is uneven, not properly built. If you come by usual state transport bus, ensure you have a transportation to reach the resort, because no bus plies to Mandarmoni. You will have to take a three-wheeler auto or a car that will provide the last-mile connectivity. It might cost around 300/- for that short distance. In fact, on the coastline visible in Mandarmoni, Mohana Beach Resort is almost the farthest (Last but one) property. "There are 36 rooms in total."- I learned from the hotel staff. There are three types of rooms that are available- 3000, 4000, and 4500.(Excludes GST). The 3000 Rs rooms are on the building in two floors. The 4500 and above rooms may have a sea-view and a balcony at times. The beach is right outside the property's inside gate. Mandarmoni beach does not offer the thrill of high waves of the sea. The sea here is quiet, docile and far off the sand beach. I visited in December 2020, in the winter season. The water hardly ever came closer to the resort. They water comes very close to the resort in the summer and monsoon, but not during the winters, I was told.
We stayed in room 1001. The cost being 3000+ the room size has very small. The bathroom was clean, bedsheets, pillow covers clean.

There is a small, toe-dipping swimming pool. So, do not expect to do a 50 meters lap or a dive in the pool. You can barely get your body beneath the water. The restaurent offers traditional bengali cuisine, indo-chinese (Noodles, chilli chicken, chilli fish, garlic chicken etc.) There is not much space inside the restaurant. Food is alright, but portion size is adequate for one person only. Rice, dal, chicken, mutton, fish posto, aloo parwal, aloo gobi, paneer are some options available for you to eat. There is a separate evening snacks and bar counter called Mohana Cafe. Apart from usual hard drink options, you can also try out hookah here. As side dishes, you will get Chicken kebabs, fish tikkas, paneer tikkas etc.

The bartender has good sense of music. The mornings start with Hare Rama, the evenings are filled with old bengali songs or Rabindra Sangeet. As the evening progresses, the music changes to peppy, hindi numbers. You can get beer, whiskey, vodka, Thums up, Pepsi, Sprite, breezers. Tea is 25/- Coffee 40/- Katla fish 100/- Dal 70/-. Breakafast is complimentary, but not a whole lot of options. Bread, butter, jam, boiled egg, pooris, and one vegetable made of potato. That's what you will get.

Mandarmoni does not have a whole lot of things to do or a whole lot of good/star rated hotels. If you are one who wants to tick off "15 places I visited", sort of a tourist, Mandarmoni is not the place for you. There is nothing to "do." If you want a quiet, relaxing holiday for a day, you can look for a resort. The beach is mostly clean, but toward the confluence, it is dirty.

Hope this review helps.
