“Beautiful beach, getting spoiled slowly”
Reviewed 21 October 2011

The beach is beautiful with the option of driving on it. During high tides the water will reach right upto the gates of your hotel. You can see a large no. of red crabs all around, and large part of the beach is apt for playing your beach football / volleyball etc.

Sadly, there's no electricity in this area and the hotels run on Diesel Generators. The carbon soot that is released from these generators gets deposited on the sea waters making it very dirty. This is really spoiling this once virgin beauty.

“Excillent place in an unexplored beach”
Reviewed 30 September 2011

I had been to mandarmani in May 2011 along with my family and stayed there for 2 days. The beach in unexplored and all the hotels are on the beach itself. The place has no electricity and all hotels run on generators.
During ightide, the sea water will come upto the hotel gates making it impossible for you to leave or enter the hotel. So be verycareful on your arrival and departure timings.

Overall it was a good experiance.

“Mandarmani a welcome relief from the mad crowd”
Reviewed 23 April 2011

We'd been to Mandarmani for the first time in Appril 2011. Much to my surprise the beach was lovely, calm & quiet a far far cry from the over crowded beaches of digha & shankarpur. What I liked the best is a motor rickshaw ride across the beach all the way to Mohona which helped my mom also enjoy the scenic sunset. Sana beach resort is where we stayed, it does have a remarkable sprawling campus and spacious swimming pool and teh staff is also very promt and courteous. The only pinch was I really felt it wasn't worth the amount they charge, if there is no electricity for 2 hrs, alimited menu & very average food quality , almost no accessories in the bathroom and so on does it really deserve 5.5 k per night??!!
but anyways, a welcome break from the city life and a gr8 beach all to urself does enthrall one and many. :)
cheers

“Value for money”
Reviewed 14 April 2011

We went to Mandarmoni in a group of 9 adults and 2 below 5 kids. And enjoyed till we dropped. Staying in Tarangamala is excellent! customised food at your service. tea in 2 ninutes. There is a central pond or lake if you like. ANd there are thatched umbrelas to seit under. So we sepnd entire day either on teh beach, sipping Vodka with coconut water, or chatting over RS by the pond. I would rate Tarangamala as excellent in all respect. Tariff is damn cheap. Try it friends!

And hey, dnt miss teh "mohona", I bet you will feel like flying!
