Seriously waste of time and money. Its private land in a remote area. we visited there in march. we were two couples and taken by our taxi driver (He was a nice guy, but may be fallen for the commission) 400 per adult including food. and the funny part, the food included two non-veg items - one was Normal CHICKEN CURRY and other was DRY PRAWN CURRY !!!!!. rest was daal fry and all . Come'n WHO WANTS TO VISIT GOA TO EAT THE NORMAL VEG FOOD !!! and hailing from Kerala - the land of spices - we felt like visiting a room size plantation which was made just for tourists !! This was the only place, we felt that waste of time in Goa

The spice farm was part of our Old Goa and temples tour done by taxi (₹2500 from Mandrem).
On arrival, we were welcome by our guide. (Young women, unfortunately I don't remember her name). Each guest is welcome in a traditional way by offering Aarti, Kumkum, and a garland of flowers. After glass of delicious herbal tea, we were taken for a tour around plantation. Our guide was very knowledgeable, not only showed us plants but also explained how they are used for cooking and in the medicine. We saw also many birds and butterflies.
At the end, there was a lunch served on plates made of banana leaves.
Gift shop with local products is located next to the cafeteria.
Bath with Elephant or ride are no longer available, as it was banned last year by the government. However, some of the tour operators still advertising as a local attraction.
Entry ticket ₹400 covers welcome tea, 40min. guided tour and a lunch.

We were pleasantly surprised by a wonderful and interesting tour of the spice plantation. Our group was small and made it a great learning experience and our guide was very knowledgeable while being warm, friendly and invites questions and comments. The tour includes lunch and we found the buffet good and plentiful.
The major positive aspect of this tour is the absence of the hard sell of spices which we've experienced on spice tours in other places on our travels.

This is totally waste of time and money. Very bad food. This is private land. Who needs these information in Goa? Taxi driver took us because of commission.

Conventionally Spice Plantation Visits are not a part of Goa trip but its worth while to explore the greenery , water body and the guided tour of Tropical Spice Plantation . The tour includes a guided information about spices their detailed information and how they are grown. The tour of 30 minutes is followed by a buffet lunch ( price included). Enjoy and learn about nature and plantation while you walk in green shades !
