Flycatcher Inn was a delight, with its immaculate, private bungalows in a garden setting. Our room was spacious, with both queen and twin-sized beds, and a hammock which could be hung either inside or out. Birds abound; a private patio allows guests to listen to the sounds of the jungle. Owners were friendly and helpful; Staff were welcoming. Breakfast was complete and delicious, served on the outdoor terrace. The location of the Flycatcher avails guests close proximity to many ruins and caves near the Puuc Route.

Very happy to hear, you enjoyed the sound of the jungle and birds, on this time of the year you can hear and see a lot of the foreing birds from the north. just after the first rain. they will be all until the next year gone.

This is our second stay at Flycatcher and it was even better than the first! Not only are the rooms lovely, clean, set in a garden, and relatively inexpensive, they are now offering dinner at the Inn!! Margarita is a great cook, and we had the best sopa de lima we've ever had in many years of visiting Mexico. The pork loin stew was tender, rich, with the sweetest carrots. Rosa continues to be so sweet, gracious, and helpful. The new owner (James) is an interesting host who appreciates his staff. Some of the rooms now have mini fridges, and rumors of a swimming pool in the near future are promising.

Room Tip: Quiet room grouping shown in photo is great for friends.

First of all, the setting is wonderful. In the back of the inn there are nature trails which are great for birdwatching. We stayed in Hu'un room which is on the end with a private terrace on the side. So lovely to sit and read and soak in the beauty. Rosa, the manager, and the other staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is plentiful with fresh juice, coffee, yogurt, eggs and bread. The only things lacking are wifi in the room, although it is available on the terrace and a pool. But I think I would trade the acreage behind the hotel for the pool. Great place to stay.

The grounds and rooms are beautify, the hotel staff very friendly. This place was very relaxing. I would have given 5 stars, but one of the rooms had no water pressure in the shower and the owner, James, who doesn't really seem to know much about the region--he only moved here six months ago-- is a little too chatty. Also, the food was good but some might require larger portions, and there is no hot water, neither of these things bother me, however it's good to be aware.

Cannot speak too positively about our two night stay at the Inn or the entire ruta puuc adventure.
Staff so welcoming and helpful. Problem with difficult door lock, no problem, new lock installed instantly. Breakfast on patio delightful, timely and tasty.
Quick and plentiful hot water, in the deep jungle, as each casita has its own boiler. On and on.
Uxmal was transcending.
Do the ruta puuc, stay here.
