In the last 8 years I have spent about 30 nights at Flycatcher; since I first visited in 2009, I haven't considered staying anywhere else. I have always found the friendly, personal welcome to be so relaxed, genial and smiling that they had me from the start. All the staff at Flycatcher are lovely and eager to make your stay as pleasant as pleasant can be. The rooms are spacious and immaculate, and beautifully appointed. The grounds are a lovely, serene garden, with many species of birds (Mot-mots, Orioles, Saltators, parrots, Green Jays) in the trees. Lovely breakfasts are served in the loggia: Fresh-squeezed orange juice, generous fruit cup, eggs in a variety of ways, with toast and coffee. Just beautiful! I'm not sure that dinner is always available, but I've had dinner at the inn many times, and they are invariably delicious and satisfying. Several Mayan ruins are close by (Uxmal and Kabah are minutes away.), and some small historic towns (Mani, Mama, Ticul)are a short drive away. The staff, Rosa, Kristine, Santiago, Nidia, and Margarita (and Others) are all glad to share information about history, directions, and the native Maya. A place NOT to be missed. Next year. . . I may go to Mexico JUST to visit Flycatcher!!

Room Tip: Rooms are all great, but I like the "Duplexes".

We really liked everything: the surroundings, the friendly staff, the room was quite big and breakfast was delicious... and tastes even better when you have it at the verandah, facing the beautiful vegetation.
We do recommend a car to see all the sites around. However, we think the Inn is very well located - you are at a walking distance from restaurants where you can have dinner.

Room Tip: Wifi is in the reception; rooms away have no wifi.

We booked this venue based on the high ratings on booking.com. We were not disappointed. Rosa, the owner was a wonderful, friendly woman who made you feel welcome and appreciated. The gardens and decor were amazingly beautiful. Everything was clean and well maintained and the delicious breakfast was made to order. The only con was the twin bed which small and not very comfortable but Rosa more than made up for that. Thank you Rosa:) I promised a nice review, and you deserved it:)

Had a relaxing two day stay in this charming and friendly Inn conveniently close to some of the best archaeological sites in the Yucatan. Comfortable room, excellent bathroom, good breakfasts on the terrace all set in a beautiful tropical garden. A short walk brings you to the Pickled Onion restaurant, an equally charming and reasonable place for meals. Would definitely recommend it for anyone wishing to experience the better part of Mexico beyond the Caribbean beaches.
