“Didn't need or want to leave this villa - fun for the kids, relaxing for the parents”

My family (spouse, 3 yr old, and infant) and I just returned from our stay at Casa Mila after a great stay at Casa Mila. I struggled whether to give this villa 4 or 5 stars, because there were a few things that keep it from perfect; but it really is an excellent villa. The villa is in a small village, but you have easy access to groceries and restaurants and any tourist attraction or town is max 30 minutes away.

So here's the good and the bad:
The Good:
- The view from the back doors and back windows of the ocean is simply perfect
-The villa is setup very nice with a great kitchen, comfortable eating area, and comfortable living spaces (indoor and out) as well as a separate play area for kids
- The heated pool and separate hot tub were perfect and you could always hear the ocean waves crashing next to you as you swam
- The rental process with the owners was professional and everything met expectations
The "to be improved":
- The WiFi is spotty and not reliable. Therefore if you need it for work or for entertainment then this may be an issue. Generally it worked fine, but it often failed later in the day and sometimes would not come back even after being reset as the property managers recommended.
- The mattresses and linens are not the most comfortable. It's not something that would prevent me staying here, but it's definitely an improvement that could be made.

Ultimately, this was a great villa and I would stay there again if I were to go back to Lanzarote.

The quality of Wi-Fi connection at Casa Mila depends entirely on the service provided by Movistar the Spanish Telecom, there is nothing we can do to improve this. Punta Mujeres village does not have good coverage, and seafront houses are even more penalised as they are the most distant from the telecom box. Casa Mila WI-FI connection works better in the morning than in the afternoon when people get back from school and work, and the line gets loaded. Our advice would be that of getting the work over the internet done in the morning, and enjoy the holiday the rest of the day.

“Loved it!”

Just returned from a wonderful fortnight at Casa Mila. We loved the villa and the hot tub and the heated pool and it's position on the edge of the ocean was just stunning. Punta Mujeres is a great non touristy little village with 2 friendly little supermarkets and several cafes and restaurants; my teenagers loved wandering about to go and buy supplies and icecreams. Although a quiet place, the village is very close to the main routeway through Lanzarote so really easy to get to all parts of the island. A beautiful villa and a beautiful island both of which more than exceeded our expectations.

“A brilliant villa”

This place was just about perfect. We found Punta Mujeres was quiet but pretty, and very well placed for seeing many of the amazing attractions established by Cesar Manrique. The villa was a little tricky to find by car owing to the village's many one way streets, but once found it was really well equipped and very comfortable, and the position was fantastic. In the morning, you could sit in bed with the balcony doors open and just watch the ocean waves rolling in about 30 metres away. The garden and pool felt very private, and it all made for a really relaxing week. We hope to return!

“A Hidden Gem.”
Reviewed 3 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

It pains me to write this review, as it may mean that I won't be able to re-book every year in future ! We visit this lovely villa every October, with our 2 friends, for a week of complete relaxation, well away from the tourist crowds. The villa is very comfortable and well maintained. There are 3 lovely bedrooms upstairs, all with air-conditioning for the hotter months. (we just leave the french doors open to hear the ocean). 2 very smart bathrooms, one with a bath and shower over, the other with a large walk in shower. Downstairs there is a sofa-bed in the games room, with a toilet and shower adjoining. You could sleep 8 but I think the furniture is more suited to 6 people, or (4 people whose husbands snore!!) The kitchen is well equiped, not that we did any cooking, there are dining tables both inside and on the covered terrace. Likewise comfortable sofas. There are plenty of sunloungers by the pool, as well as a built in seat with cushions which catches the last few rays of the evening sun. We make good use of the pool, which has steps (but no handrail, so be careful) and our husbands even used the hot-tub this trip! The restaurant next door is very friendly and the food is very good. They also speak english, german and french. In October it is only open for lunch (until about 5pm) and in summer until about 9pm so the evenings are very quiet.
If you want to visit this wonderful island but don't want English bars, Sky sports and pub food, avoid the crowds and come here for the real Lanzarote.
We've already booked for next year!!

Just to specify that the restaurant next door called Las Tres Lunas, in the summer is open until 7:00 pm not further, this guarantees the utmost tranquillity for al fresco dinners at Casa Mila.
