We have dined at here on several occasions and never been disappointed.

The beautiful house is welcoming and intimate. Service is individual and helpful and at the same time non intrusive. There's no rush for the next diner as there are a small amount of covers in the restaurant so you are free to take your time.

Previously we ate on the New Year's special and enjoyed half a lobster, the shared side of beef cooked in juicy slithers which was incredible with plenty of creamy sauce on the side.Even us greedy pair were struggling to finish but we couldn't help going back for more. It was an evening to remember with lots of delicious small starters before the main event.

On this occasion we tried some new additions to the menu. We both chose a crab cake served in it's shell and having tasted quite a few on a recent trip to Monterey which is famed for seafood chowder and crab cakes, I can say that these were on point. Next up my husband had sea bream (possibly seabass!) and I had cod with scallops and prawns in a cream sauce served en papillote - both were fantastic and offered a lighter option to some of the traditional french dishes.

The cheese course is included and chef Paul will talk you through all the options which he lovingly sources from miles around the region and all served with port and served generously by his wife Val.

I can often resist a dessert when I'm out as they can be a let down frankly, but again these are superb. If you're lucky they'll have their delicious lemon meringue pie. Other favourites on the menu are the creme brulee and I a nougat ice cream layered with raspberry sorbet which makes a refreshing end to the meal.

For the standard of food, the personal 'french food' experience this is ten out of ten. On top of that it's good value with set meals of around 21 and 27 euro plus a kids meal and veggie option. There's a la carte menu if you want to free style and you can opt for the fine wines or order by carafe depending on your budget. Seriously, what more could you ask for?

Having just returned from a world trip and eaten some fabulous food I can say that this is right up there. Make sure you call ahead as the restaurant has limited seating and is very popular due to some recent awards and well deserved magazine and online coverage!

We were 8 dining - kids, parants and grand parents - and everyone had a most wonderful time, and loved the menus. Awesome food, wine and not the least: excellent service. Servings where plenty big.

This is one of the best meals I have had for a very long time!

All the courses were well balanced and filling.

For me the highlight was the renowned cheese trolley of the restaurant with a wide variety of local and artisan cheese served personally by Paul to each diner.

A really memorable experience to be thoroughly recommended!

We enjoyed another superb meal and evening at Paul & Val’s restaurant last week and by the end of the meal when we got the bill we were astounded at the excellent value for what was an absolutely first class menu.

The food was exquisite and those very extravagant servngs of exotic canapés before we even began the meal were out of this world. The main course of duck which was one of Paul’s new creations on his extensive menu was attractively served and very tasty and filling and something which I would show no hesitation to order again!

The restaurant’s famous cheese board was a lively interlude and Chef Paul came out to have a chat and serve us himself. I couldn’t believe the amount of different cheeses my husband put away on this evening - he must have been influenced by Paul’s descriptions of the origins!

I always feel terribly spoiled when I vist Aux Quatre Saisons and I love their beautiful wine and even the wine glasses too - it all adds to a great ambiance and an unforgettable evening.

It was great to see you again. Please move back to this area. You are too far away!

The duck is very popular and in fact it is the end of service and clearing here (1am, ouch!) and I am about to cook some for us along with a small glass of wine (just to check the quality you understand).

Thank you for your ;lovely review and we hope to see you soon.

Kind regards
Paul et Val

Our group of four just had one of the best meals we have ever had. Two had the lamb shanks and two of us had the special of the day - Osso Bucco. They were all melt in your mouth tender and the accompaniments couldn’t have been better. The “nibbles” they start with would be considered full appetizers back in Canada but here they were just the start or our 4 hour gastronomic journey. The starters were next and were just fantastic but we were just a little jealous of our friends Smoked Salmon dish. Again a huge portion and simply delicious. I could gush on about all our dishes. The mains were delivered and devoured followed by the very entertaining cheese trolley with each of the 20+ cheeses narrated by the chef. Dessert was presented and although by now we were all quite full we did manage to eat every last bit. All in all a very memorable evening. We considered the price to be very reasonable as well.
