A Scandia House was a great place to stay. We felt like we were at home. Lene is a great host and offers advice on anything you ask about. The breakfasts were wonderful and filling - a great way to start an active day.

Very enjoyable 7-night stay at A Scandia House B&B. We were made to feel like family by our host, Lene. Lovely breakfasts, beautiful view of the mountains from our balcony, comfortable bed, interesting guests and all the amenties we needed for our "home away from home". Lene was extremely helpful in giving us guidance about what to see and do around Whitehorse. Highly recommend.

We (two couples) spent 2 nights in the A Scandia House B&B. Our hope for a good recreation place after a long journey has not been disapointed by our host Lene. We felt like friends and the homemade breakfast was delicious! For this favourable price maybe the best choice in Whitehorse. We highly recommend the Scandia House!!

Room tip: Due to the shared bathroom espacially suitable for freindly couples or families.

Hopefully a B&B experience is more personal than just a hotel stay, and certainly we felt like we recieved special treatment, tailored to our needs and interests. While regrettably only staying for three nights, our visit could not have been better. From the relaxed introduction in the sunshine of the front garden, to the excellent recommendations of restaurants and attractions in the area, Lene is an outstanding and very personable host. It truly felt like home away from home.

We enjoyed the upstairs bedroom (very roomy, outstanding bed comfort, excellent light and air control, very spacious bath facilities), with it's own private balcony opening high above the private back yard in the branches of the trees. Absolutely lovely.

Room tip: Can't speak to the accommodations in the lower level, but the upstairs bedroom/bathroom was perfect for two, and definately roomy enough for a couple with small kids or a baby.

We stayed at 'the scandia house' for five nights altogether, at the beginning and end of our holiday. We had a lovely room upstairs with a balcony and a wonderful view. The bed was super comfy (good when you're recovering from jet lag) and the breakfast was good. Lene is a very trusting hostess and we were able to let ourselves in and out, and make ourselves at home.Lene lent us a hiking book so that we got out of the city, and also gave us good advice about restaurants and events that were happening in town. A good way to start and finish our holiday.
