Very new, modern feeling hotel. It is in a beautiful location and the hotel was extremely clean and everything felt new. The breakfast with my package was nice but nothing very exciting, lots of carbs but not much other than breads, bagels, muffins and some fruit. Despite how much attention they spent on making it feel upscale, the disposable plates and cutlery made the breakfast seem very cheap.

Our biggest complaint was all the team staying at the hotel for a synchro competition, they were very loud in the hallways all evening and early in the morning which was not very pleasant or conducive to work and rest.

Overall, a very modern and well put together in the city in a great location! Still need some attention to details....

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your experience at our facility. Each comment is useful to help us improve and to offer you the service you expect. We try to offer comfort and convenience to our corporate clients as well as our tourist clientele and that is why we are one of the only 4 star hotels in the area to graciously offer a continental breakfast to our guests. We try to maintain healthy and fast choices for our customers to start their day off right, despite the fact that we do not have, properly speaking, a kitchen allowing us to offer more variety to satisfy the tastes of each one . We are sorry to note that this selection did not reach you at the time of your stay and we want you to know that your comment is well taken into account in order to improve this service for our future customers.

Caring for you and your comfort is important to us and every effort is made to provide exceptional, friendly and courteous service. We have taken note of your comments and added a special note to your file so that the room that will be assigned to you in the future is never in an area located near a group.

Once again, thank you for your time in writing this comment. We hope to have the chance to welcome you again on your next trip in our beautiful town.

The Grand Times Hotel is a luxurious hotel in Sherbrooke. The rooms are nice and the furniture and decor updated. I found the shower was a tub style, which did not seem to fit well with the rest of the modern decor.

The lobby is very nice and has large windows overlooking the river (very nice). The large glass enclosed fireplace is a nice touch.

Breakfast and WiFi were included. The WiFi connect was very spotty in the room and would lose connection or become extremely slow (unacceptable for any hotel today). The breakfast was a self serve continental affair, but very small for the size of the hotel. It got very crowded around the food stations.

The hotel offers indoor parking which was nice during our cold winter stay, but the $10 a day fee was not welcomed. A hotel trying to offer a luxury stay and charge the rates accordingly should offer free parking.

Another minor complaint is that our room was only ready at 3:00 PM. I understand that this is the official check in time, but most hotels try and accommodate early arrivals. We tried to check in at 12:00 pm but were asked to come back at 3:00 pm.

Overall a nice stay in Sherbrooke.

Room Tip: Get a room with a river view.

We stayed for a few days over Christmas holiday. We have often stayed at Le Président in the past, but thought we'd try the Times since we found an equal price. We thought with the breakfast included that made it a bit better deal. Unfortunately we did not realize the Times charges for parking which le Président does not. This was not mentioned in my Hotels.com confirmation, although they insisted at checkout that it was.

I'm not sure how it received a 4 star rating without a restaurant. It was bitterly cold out, so having to walk or drive to nearby restaurants was not pleasant. The continental breakfast was quite sufficient although there was no Orange pekoe tea or hot chocolate. But our last day was January 2 and many of our preferred items were no longer offered, such as cream cheese, boiled eggs, and cretons. They are apparently only holiday offerings. The breakfast area is lovely with a nice view and cozy fire.

The pool was quite cold. The kids only swam once in 5 days. According to their advertising they have in room massage, which I had planned to use, but apparently they no longer offer that.

The entrance and foyer gave me a daily headache due to some type of air freshener that smelled like cheap aftershave. It also smelled of exhaust in the halls on the sixth floor.

The decor in the lobby and lounge area was nice, but the halls and room were very dark. The room was well-appointed with a beautiful, large bathroom and a vanity mirror which my aging eyes appreciate. A bathroom fan would be nice with multiple showers happening. The decor of the room was nice, but the concrete ceiling is an odd choice as it looked dirty.

Generally, it was fine, but not worth the much higher prices compared to le Président in my opinion. If you need to be downtown I suppose that's an advantage.

The Grand Times Hotel Sherbrooke is a "boutique" hotel in Sherbrooke.

It is located just outside the downtown core, and its location means that you can actually visit a number of sites and attractions on foot: the art museum and the downtown are close by. The Lac des nations park is literally on the hotel's doorstep.

The rooms are comfortable and well appointed.

The hotel has a small fitness centre with minimal equipment.

It's the breakfast that keeps the Grand Times Hotel Sherbrooke from getting a higher rating. The offerings were limited and served on paper plates. We found this disappointing, in light of the "boutique" atmosphere and the "boutique" price point.
