“Very nice Cafe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2012

We reserved here without being able to see a menu based on the reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. The onion soup was, as reviewed, terrific with so much delicious cheese. I had the steak tartare for my main meal which I enjoyed very much. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food, though the menu may be a bit limiting to some. The place is very small, and our table was tucked away in a small corner near by the window. The odd shape of this area was a bit claustrophobic for the person who sat nearest the window. The owner was very sweet, but was harder to understand for us English speakers than at other places. Also, had to ask for our water glasses to be filled several times. It appeared there were only two people working all the tables (the owner and one waitress), and they seemed perpetually in motion.

“Loved this place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 May 2012

My partner and I visited Quebec City in April 2012, and this was the first restaurant we ate at. We both really loved it---Service was wonderful, and the decor was quaint, rustic and artsy! Food was superb---he had a rabbit dish and I had a horse steak! Dessert was a very moist cheesecake with fresh blueberries that we both enjoyed. Reasonably priced and well worth the money!

“Good, but not great...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 May 2012

We ate here on the second of four nights in QC. It was cold and drizzling. The room has many quirky decorations, and the effect is quite inviting. We were seated in the window table, which we appreciated - especially as there were a couple of large parties already seated.

We started with the pate maison - which we really enjoyed. I then had the seafood stew and my partner had the rack of lamb. Both were good, but not great. Service was very friendly - as were the other patrons.

So, overall - good, but not great. We wouldn't avoid this retaurant, but, with so many great choices in QC we probably wouldn't make our way back......

“Lovely traditional atmosphere, friendly staff and nice food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2012 via mobile

A small traditional style bistro with a good menu covering standards and a few specialities. Friendly and efficient service, but as with all small busy bistros be prepared to wait for your food to be cooked. The food was flavoursome and well cooked, ask the staff for their suggestions.
House wine was very drinkable and much better value than a bottle.

“Very good food, great service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2012

I tried rabbit for the first time, and it was really tasty, but was chock-ful of small bones. Be careful if you are unfamiliar, as I was. I believe my wife had fish, which she liked. The sole waiter was attentive and helpful. Wine selection was good, but a little on the expensive side.
