Check in was very easy with the owner taking care of my car as the place I parked was going to attract some city officers specialize in giving tickets!!!!
Room very cosy, bed confy and funny shower open on the bedroom.
Breakfast excellent and good advices for local restaurant.
Tried to book it again but it was always full this summer. Will come back when the season is over.

My husband and I stayed at the Auberge with our 9 year old the first week of August and had a wonderful time. The staff (Gilles and Claire) were outstanding. We needed to find restaurants with vegetarian options (definitely a challenge in Quebec) and they provided us with great recommendations. Free Wi Fi and Breakfast were also great perks! The room was funky and spacious (room 8). I would definitely stay again -- the only proviso is that the shower is right in the room (at least in room #8). It was a bit unusual and it certainly is shown in the photo on the web site -- I just didn't clue in . It was a bit of a challenge to have modesty with my 9 year old!! Just a heads up. Otherwise I totally recommend it. 10 minute walk to main shopping area -- 15 to the Old City. Lots of hills!

Room Tip: If you have kids check whether there is a separate bathroom with shower

I would have given this hotel a 5 star except for the fact that there are no elevators. So if you are on the third floor it's a bit of a climb up the two flights of stairs. Would not be a good match for an elderly couple. Other then that the service was 5 star. Breakfast was made to order every morning. The staff members were accommdating and friendly.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights in August and enjoyed ourselves immensely in Quebec city as it was our first visit to the city. We chose Le Vincent due to its reviews on TripAdvisor and on the whole we were not disappointed. We were very well received, this is always a must in any establishment, and felt like we were at home. Shown to our room we were a little shocked at the pokey size, but since we were not going to be staying long we did not let this dampen our spirits. The installations were excellent, everything worked well including the wifi and the breakfasts were very impressive too. I would recommend this to friends.

My wife and I booked four nights at Auberge Le Vincent based on recommendations on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. An $8 cab ride from VIA rail station lead us to the door step where Gell (sorry for spelling) greeted us on street and took our luggage (he was actually looking out for us).

He spent at least 15 minutes at the front desk with us recommending good restaurants to eat, good places to shop and directions for sightseeing. Gell gave us a map and marked down everything for us. What impressed us is his level of detail, he actually told us which routes to take to avoid going uphill (we later found out there’s a lot of hills in Quebec and this is extremely helpful given that my wife is pregnant). We based our four days activities around this map; Old Quebec City is 20 minutes walk from Auberge Le Vincent.

While we were at the front desk, Gell answered a call and we could hear the caller was inquiring for a room on a date that there were no availability. Rather than saying sorry, hang up and attending to us again, we hear Gell providing phone numbers for a couple of nearby hotels to the caller. It’s really nice of him to look out for people searching for hotels even though they are not their customers. Visitors not familiar with Quebec appreciate all the help.

Breakfast was very tasty; you must try the omelette (so fluffy) and the French toast. Antonio served us and he is extremely genuine and attended to us to ensure we were satisfied with our breakfast. On our last day, we were late for breakfast time so we called to see if they could accommodate us. Without any hesitation, Antonio said no problem. We were the only ones in the eating area and we could see the kitchen was closing down, but rather than making us feel rushed, Antonio treated us the same making sure what was served was good enough for us.

We stayed in room 2 and while we faced the road the noise was not that noticeable. They actually have noise resistant windows that blocks the noise. The room atmosphere was cozy and tasteful. We appreciated the quality of the wifi connection, we brought our laptop and we were able to stream movies through the connection. One night had roast beef takeout from Joe Smoked Meat restaurant right beside Auberge Le Vincent, pulled the couple of chairs and small coffee table together and had a movie and dinner night in our room. Above all the room was clean, something that’s very important to us.

Over all we enjoyed our stay at Auberge Le Vincent, where people look you in the eye when they talk to you and attentive to your needs. This should be the standard to which hotels should measure against. Thank you Antonio, Gell and Auberge Le Vincent for your hospitality.
