“Outrageously wonderful hotel in Quebec City”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2012

Our first trip to Quebec and we were fortunate enough to stay here in this beautiful, fun hotel. The decor is to die for in a modern, clever way. Beautiful modern art everywhere. Amazingly comfortable bed and our room (#8) had the most fun walk in shower we've ever experienced. My husband and I loved everything about this lovely hotel. Its in a flatiron building just a half block from the free elevator that takes you up to old Quebec. We loved the location as we had easy access to Vieux Quebec, but were in the flat part of the city surrounded by new, hip restaurants.. All rooms have beautiful custom shutters with their own double panes in addition to double paned windows. Our room was incredibly quiet at all times of day, even though the hotel is located on a busy street.. The breakfast selection was wide and all delicious, the service superb and the hospitality of the staff great. Gilles, the front desk man, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. We travel a great deal, but the hospitality we encountered here was really top drawer.

Room Tip: #8 is not only beautiful, with warm brick walls, lots of windows on 3 sides but it has a walk in sho...

Beautiful boutique hotel...too bad it has now been "discovered." I have stayed there a number of times since it opened....always been great. Amazing service and wonderful breakfast.

We stayed for 1 night in this place and choose for it based on tripadvisor reviews..

Upon arrival and after check in, we already got lot's of information on where to go, eat, etc. Our car was parked by them (cost 15$), the room we had was no 6, with view on a busy street. This one offering all the necessary comfort, we loved the rainshower, only negative point was that we needed to keep all windows shut to keep the noise out (of the street).

The auberge is located outside the old part of town in a more business like looking district, close although to an elevator whom connects you with the old town, bare although in mind you'll still have to walk a few hunderd meters 'up' to get in rue st Jean..

They recommended us a nice Italian restaurant (Ciccio), with excellent food and good wines at reasonable prices..

Breakfast indeed offers a choice of different dishes, we both went for pancakes, not bad, but not exceptional either (maybe, coming from Europe, we're a bit more spoiled on that side ?), service although is extremely friendly and pleasant..

A nice place to stay if you're ok with some walking to get to the old town, we didn't like to much the trafic noise in the early morning, but did appreciate very much the great service .

It is rare to find a hotel that is this customer-centered. I have been in many hotels around the world, sometimes in luxury chains, and have never encountered such wonderful, personalized service anywhere. Attention is given to detail like I've never seen before. I was sitting in the lobby, just before breakfast, reading a newspaper. Imagine my surprise when the server (forgot his name, sorry!) asked me if I wanted some coffee. When I did, he asked me what kind. It only took Antonio, the owner who helps serve, one breakfast to figure out I loved lattes. From then on I never had to tell him. The hotel has a wonderful location, just minutes from the elevator and stairs used to get to the Upper Town of Old Québec. The bed was comfortable and the exposed brick in the room was great. The shower rocked. You could have either a rainforest shower or use the hand-held shower sprayer. The bathroom was laid out every night with a chocolate on top. I will stay here the next time I am in Québec City.

Room Tip: I was in room 2. If you like to sleep late this room may not be the best choice because I could hea...

Two friends and I had the pleasure of staying at the Auberge Le Vincent in late May. It is by far one of the best, most friendly and accommodating and artfully decorated inns that I have ever enjoyed. Upon arrival, the staff was quick to help us unload and then parked our car for us. Walking into the lobby put us before the painting "A Starry Night" on the wall with that theme then carried throughout the lobby. The rooms were very quaint with luxurious bathrooms. The best part though was the very friendly staff. Gilles was especially so very helpful and pleasant. When we arrived in the lobby in the morning, a cup of coffee or cappuccino was almost instantly placed into our hands by Antonio. And the breakfasts were superb. We sure hated to leave but plan to again return in the near future.

Room Tip: Room 1 is right off of the lobby and has a very narrow bathroom. The rooms that I saw upstairs seem...
