We stayed 3 nights in Dec 2011. Position is everything here, on a cobbled lane right in the old town and under Chateau Frontenac. It would be hard to describe the beauty of the location and the delight on arrival for an Aussie traveller where winter, snow and Christmas lights are the perfect combination. The service was excellent, friendly and all staff spoke prefect English. The restaurant and food too was excellent and breakfast was included.
Be warned about the lack of an elevator. The stairs from the street and inside the hotel are very tight as the hotel site itself is a skinny terrace in the old town so space is at a premium but the staff happily help with bags. Indeed, they help with everything. The service was second to none day and night. Not all rooms are as spacious as the photos suggest - we had a small room at the back of the hotel but if you have less luggage than we international travellers it would not be a problem. For we two it was a squeeze.
Overall, it deserves the fine reputation it has and I would stay again in a heart beat.More
