The hotel is elegant, quiet, and conveniently located, and the breakfasts were delicious. Our room, Number 20, had windows facing to the rear of the hotel, which was leafy and pleasant. I would choose to visit again in a heartbeat.

This is a nice small hotel in a great location near Chateau Frontenac. The first floor queen rooms are beautiful and romantic. There is no elevator so grab a first floor if you can. It is within easy walking distance to La Petit Champlain , restaurants and plenty of street entertainers.

Room was very clean, bed comfortable, ambiance perfect. Location to restaurants, tourist attractions, shopping perfect. Highly recommend this hotel for couples. No children was a plus for us. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

My wife and I stayed here for three days in July 2017. Great locations. Good hotel room in an older hotel. Very quiet. Great breakfast options. Excellent staff.

Some folks may prefer a more modern hotel or a much bigger room. This works for us and it was in the spirit and history of old Quebec.

I say "watch that first step" because I thought the entry directly from the sidewalk, consisting of three short, steep steps, was unique and a bit amusing to me. We stayed here for two nights. The hotel seems to be a former residence that was split into rental rooms, each with their own bathroom. The establishment is decorated attractively with an Old Europe style. It has lots of ornaments and paintings in that style. Our room number 21 is spacious and it has nice wooden furniture with a four poster bed. That mattress was too firm for me, but that is a subjective thing, of course. Our room, and the establishment overall, was very clean. Staff were friendly, courteous and efficient; they also spoke English well. We ate breakfast at the hotel and enjoyed it; we especially liked their French toast. Our room had a decent size flat screen television, but I wished it had a larger selection of English channels.
