It is a quaint and elegant place but with interesting but a bit overpriced shops. A great place to go around and fill one's curiosity with Quebec's local products.

Beautifully restored, the Quartier Petit Champlain is a wonderful little village with beautifully rehabilitated buildings and narrow cobbled streets. There are shops, boutiques, and art galleries galore. You feel as if you were transported in history to the origin French settlement.

I went during february. The whole city was white. We were -24°C. When my friends and I arrived to that area we felt like it was Christmast all over again. It was nice to visit some of the stores and get a little warm. You can find souvenirs, restaurants, and stores with local products such as sweaters or even musical spoons. I was in Quebec for 3 days and I dont know why or how we always ended up in that area.

This street is located in the lower city and it is a series of shops (some tacky souvenirs, some art and clothing) but all are set in old historic buildings well worth the walk through.

Very nice street. It is a must see. You can walk down or take the elevator to get there. You should also have a look at "Place Royale" that is 1 minute from "Quartier petit Champlain".
