This was the best meal we had during our week in Montreal. The service was excellent - knowledgeable and non-pretentious staff who were very accommodating of my halting French and made excellent wine recommendations. And the food... oh my! So amazing. This is the kind of place you could end up lingering for hours. I'd recommend this place for a small group of close friends or for a "date night" dinner.

I visited this restaurant twice in the space of a week because I was so impressed.
Whoever is working in the kitchen deserves all the recognition in the world, they serve some truly genius interpretations of classic dishes without taking it too far.
Even when it's something as "simple" as a veal tartar - the execution was fantastic.
It was a delight to eat the creations.
The staff are all passionate about what they do, and it shows.
Exceptionally helpful, with good service and a nice dining area.

I hope that this place retains its quality and should they get the attention it no doubt deserves, it doesn't effect the execution.

Montrealers like public transportation, but sometimes is convenient to drive. The catch like in any mayor city is parking space. Here is an excellent restaurant where usually parking in the street is available in a busy area (rue St Denis).
The place is rather small, but well appointed and regulars are friendly and accommodating to let you land in your table. The menu is flexible and they suggest wines by the bottle or glass that pair with the food you are choosing. The desserts are also delicious in this place. We have enjoy salads as well as sophisticated plates in our many visits to the restaurant and every time the quality was high in terms of taste, presentation and freshness. The temperature of the meal was also correct, specially meats.
The only drawback is that service sometimes is a bit slow...otherwise a fantastic little gem for international/Quebec food. Prices are appropriate for service and quality.

It may be a bit of a hike up St. Denis from the downtown core, and parking can be a challenge (go early), but it is worth the effort. The mushroom terrine was fantastic, I think I could have just continued eating more and more of the just the appetizer. But then I wouldn't have been able to move on to the sea bass which was similarly excellent. The surprise accompaniment wasa chorizo filled ravioli which had intense flavour. The creme brulee was the perfect finale. Wines were very good, and reasonably priced. The place is small and cozy, so reserve in advance, you won't be disappointed if you enjoy fine cuisine.
