We came here after reading the great reviews and we were not disappointed. The food and service were excellent! We had the calamari, pork belly, fried polenta & brie plate. Dessert was a version of bread pudding. Excellent! My husband discovered some great Quebecan craft beer as well!

We made an 8 pm reservation during the Easter long weekend. The cauliflower soup was exceptional but that was the only great thing of the night. My husband and I had planned to order the cornish hen for 2 ($65) but it was already sold out so we both chose a brined salmon entre instead -- bad idea! Mine came with some dark gravy which was unpleasant and even though my husband got the identical dish, his lacked this gravy (so much for consistency but, in this case, it was a blessing). Then they had this weird sweet banana custard (usually found on dessert) as part of the garnish.around the plate! A glass of cranberry was filled with ice and some juice. And one final thing: when we arrived, they took our coats but didnt give us a coat tag. When we asked for our coats upon paying the bill, we were told to go get it from the back of the room! Really unacceptable -- any one could pick up anyone else's coat! The menu was limited but that would have been fine if the dishes were good. Poor overall experience.

Wow! We had an amazing experience here. The soup of the day was perfection. Creamy and spicy; it doesn't get any better than that. We got the salmon and the pork belly. Everything was plated beautifully! The salmon was cooked to perfection; crispy skin side down, all the delicate flavors of the pear and apricot really shone through. Loved the potatoes, so thin and delicate. The pork belly dish was the star; melt in your mouth tenderness with the complimentary purees were delightful. We were only disappointed that our stomachs were not large enough for dessert.

Modern and delicious food in a nice setting. All our dishes were outstanding. I highly recommend their cauliflower soup with tabasco and their mac and cheese remix with the truffle oil is to die for. Side dish of fresh seared mushrooms is fantastic as well. The restaurant has a nice location on the corner across from the hotel de ville de Montreal with a lot of windows and nice views.

We found this place thanks to the Trip Advisor reviews. It's a little hidden because we could not see a street sign, but the directions on this site make it easy to find. This is a small family restaurant and their care for service and food really comes through. The host was helpful in explaining the menu and making recommendations. We had the Mac and Cheese and the Dead or Alive salmon. Both were excellent. Fair warning - those dishes are is deliciously salty! We visited in early Spring so it was not crowded, but I can imagine this place being very busy during tourist seasons - so plan ahead and reserve a table.
