The atmosphere was that of a brownstone from the early 1900's, with a twist of today's chic. It was walking distance to Old Montreal and shopping convenience's. Dealing with Freddie was terrific. She was there for you when you needed her. Also, I was nervous about not being able to speak French. Not a problem at all! Everyone in Montreal was very friendly and knew English. Old Montreal is such a beautiful city; you felt like you were in France!

Very central location. Walk, bike or metro to all major locations. Bixi bikes were 1 block away. Old town was a 7 min walk. Metro was 2.5 blocks. Very nice clean quiet space.
High ceilings, new kitchen, charming building, and near everything! One block from the big metro station, the Latin Quarter restaurants, and the cool end of Ste. Catherine. A terrific IGA market is on Ste. Catherine, and the bus to and from the airport is a few blocks down Rue Rene Levesque. And importantly, the Old Port museums, shopping, and sights are a short walk away. No need even for Bixi bikes here. The kids wanted to go to La Ronde, which would have been a nice long walk, but a short metro and bus ride got us there in no time. This is a terrific home base to explore a lovely city!
Myself and 4 others stayed in the apartment for the long weekend and it was perfect. Close to subway/grocery store/SAQ. Great little spot in a cool old building.
