What fun Andy Warhols everywhere. We loved it and convient to everything. The breakfast was very good and we were always greeted with water after a walk on a hot day. We had a large room that was very clean and comfortable

Pros: Bargain deal four four days when I guaranteed the booking vs. have the option to cancel the reservation...$165 per night against, I think, $185-90. My credit card wasn't charged until I checked in, unlike other places I've gone. $25 per day in and out valet parking. Plus tax each day worked out to $200+...total bill with a few drinks, etc, was sub $1,000, a really great deal, in my opinion. No meal plan, because L'Hotel is in the historic district where there are PLENTY of cafe/restaurants to soak up atmosphere. L'Hotel is a renovated older building and the decor is contemporary art. Beautiful space, clean, clean, clean. Staff was fabulous, young ladies behind the front desk spoke perfect english and were full of suggestions about where to eat, tour. Manager always there to converse or help. Rooms cleaned immediately. Modern bathrooms, new linen, towels. Free Wi-Fi that actually worked. Mix of American and French (speaking) clients. Some families, but more couples. Always a few Ferrari's parked out front to lend artistic interest.

Cons: Non. You can not go wrong with L'Hotel when in Montreal. Book early through Trip Advisor and nail down a discount.

Room Tip: 408 on the highest floor was just right.

Location....quiet, convenient to the Old Port & Notre Dame
Rooms.....clean, spacious, free wifi
Staff.....attentive, courteous, helpful
Price....great value

LHotel has a great vibe. For those who appreciate art, you'll find the lobby interesting. Dining recommendations by the staff were spot on, and there are lots of good eats within walking distance. I'd definitely come back.

I stayed in this hotel one night only during my short sightseeing trip to Montreal. I would select three aspects that make this hotel a perfect option for those who visit the capital of Quebec:

1. Location (two minutes of walk from the Old Port and Notre Dame de Montreal)
2. Excellent service that can be hardly received in chain hotels (e.g. I was offered a cup of complementary takeaway coffee when checked out at 4 am)
3. Charming victorian antosphere created by antiquie-styled furniture and high ceilings.

I cannot comment on the quality of the restaurant and the fitness centre as I didn't use these facilities.

Overall, I am convinced that this hotel is a very good option for people visiting Montreal. It provides very good service and location for its price.

Fantastic art work, great staff, perfect location in Old Montreal. A pretty boutique hotel. The breakfast was generous ...lots to choose from. Bed was very comfortable, nice fluffy towels (but not enough of them). The only thing that was not perfect was the food we ordered in to the room one night when we were too tired to go out ...stale crackers, poor selection of cheeses. Lots of great restaurants nearby though! Try Gandhi's for really good Indian food.
The hotel doubles their rates during the Gran Prix which I thought was a bit stiff.
