Rue St. Denis, between Rue Ontario and Boulevard Dr Maisonneuve is one of my favourite areas. It has a wide range of affordable and funky restaurants and bars. Even on a cold winter day after a big snowstorm the crowds were out.

We went to visit this street to see the balloon show (July) and was excellent but little crowded, this street has everything, restaurants, pubs, bars, desert stores, bookstores and easy to find by bike, metro or bus, also is very close to the Banq. is small but worth it. I will go again this winter to see the difference and will upload another review, enjoy.

The Latin district is a cool part of Montreal. Like others have said some of the buildings need a bit of a face life. But like any city, there are always places that can use a little polish.

It is terrible all the buildings need TLC, there are a lots of restaurants and good one but the rest of the street is ugly. If you don't need to go there I strongly suggest to go elsewhere.

And good food from many corners of the world. This stretch offers a wonderful cross section of cultures.
