The best way to enjoy this park is walking.
Do come in the week days, the weekends are crowded.
In winter Cross Country Skiing is available for FREE.
Just a Wonderful place. I LOVE THIS PLACE.

A great feel of nature and nature's force with time... It is a great place to relax, walk around and certainly read about history... Hope you enjoy!

Beautiful park with a bistro near a little river. You can go for a walk, do a nice bicycle ride or just sit at the terrasse listening to the water and have a snack or a beer. Plenty of spots to take magnificient pictures.

If you are inthe east end of Montreal and find yourself with a couple of hours to spare, it is a nice walk Spring, Summer and Fall. Colors are amazing, you are by the water, it is peaceful. There is a nice old church near by. ANd many beautiful homes along the street that line it.

We only had a couple of hours to spend so I thought it would be nice to show Ile-de-la-Visitation to my sister from Europe. It is a very quiet place, right on the river. 11 old houses well preserved, walking paths to visit the island, the road is strictly reserved for residents, pic-nic sites available and, of course, the old mill. They did not renovate it, only secure the ruins. Very interesting. There is a small museum and an affordable restaurant with a nice terrasse close to the entry of the site. It's a charming place, people who live there are very lucky. We loved our afternoon.
