“A great place to stay”
Reviewed 9 August 2012

My family and I stayed at Auberge Bonaparte recently and it was lovely. We had a large, clean and very comfortable room in a great location in Old Montreal. A delicious full breakfast was included in the room charge. The weekend front desk/concierge, Sabrina, was enormously helpful in recommending and booking restaurants and a walking tour. Parking is very easy in a nearby lot. Everyone at the hotel was so friendly and helpful.

The inn's rooms are clean and sparsely decorated. The brick walls and bare floors give the rooms a minimalist but welcome feel. The tub was glorious!
The restaurant located in the hotel is super. The best meal we have had in a very long time. Service was very slow at the end of the meal, but they made up for it by providing a complementary glass of port. All in all a great stay!

Room Tip: All rooms are sound proof, but the higher floors have better views.

We really enjoyed our 3 nights at Auberge Bonaparte. We were a group of 5 so we had 3 rooms. We could walk to all the interesting places in Old Town Montreal. The rooms were very clean and tastefully appointed. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. They helped us with our luggage when we checked in and out - from the car to the lobby and back to the car. Michael was always around to answer questions, give us advice on what to see and do according to our interests, and advice on restaurants - even when his own hotel had a very good restaurant. The breakfast menu had several selections and was cooked and served very nicely. I had the spinach and feta omelet everyday. It was served with diced potatoes and a few slices of cucumber and a tomato slice. Coffee was excellent. Our group really enjoyed our stay at this top hotel!

Room Tip: Our group had rooms on the second and third floors. Our rooms all faced the street which we liked b...

We enjoyed two lovely nights at this little inn and were thoroughly pleased with the entire stay. It is within easy walking distance of the Vieux Port, great restaurants, and great shopping. Breakfast was delicious - next time we want to try dinner there as well. The only issue we had was loud partiers in the streets returning to/moving their vehicles in the wee hours of the morning but it just added to the experience. We'd go back again.

I pretty much said it all there in the heading, but to expand a bit-- we had a wonderful stay, and this lovely historic hotel was a big part of the reason why. Super-clean, very comfortable, stylish, quiet. We slept like babies and ate like royalty! Breakfasts were delightful, dinners were spectacular. Very friendly and helpful staff. We hope to visit again!
