The hotel is in a very beautiful Victorian building with many original features such as ornate cornicing, detailed stained glass, hand carved wooden doors and a sweeping staircase in the centre of the house.
There was a large bathroom on each floor shared between two bedrooms and a third room with ensuite. All looked very clean and modern. All rooms are decorated in an individual style. Although it was cold outside (10c or lower), our room was warm and comfortable. The bed was firm so we slept very well.
We also booked the garage for the hire car as there is only permit parking on the street and the garage gave us peace of mind for the car.
At breakfast we sat at the 'bar' and chatted to our host Ephraim who was very knowledgeable, funny, witty and told us many international jokes.
We left our bags after checkout to finish shopping for souvenirs and when we returned, my airline had emailed me and cancelled my connecting flight. Ephraim was extremely helpful and phoned the airline instructing them to book me on an earlier flight so I didn't miss my connection home.
We enjoyed our stay and the host entertained us in his unique and welcoming way.More
