Our family - myself, my husband and 2 boys, ages 11 and 7 - stayed here for a night when we had tickets to a Detroit Red Wings game.

Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly, acknowledged as reward club members and offered an upgrade to a waterfront view room, which we happily accepted.

Our 7th floor room was clean and comfortable and, although quite close to the elevators, it was very quiet, too. We enjoyed the view of the Detroit skyline and slept very well.

The proximity to the tunnel was very convenient; the only downside was we lost our spot in the hotel lot when we left to go to the hockey game. It's too bad the hotel doesn't have more dedicated parking, although they do have an arrangement with a garage that's very close by, so at least you don't need to go searching for a place to park.

The breakfast was fantastic - it was great to have some hot items to choose from (2 types of eggs, sausages, bacon).

The pool was inexplicably closed while we were there. Our kids were a bit disappointed, but we wouldn't have had much time to spend at the pool anyway, had it been open, so it wasn't that much of a loss.

All in all, we were very happy with our stay, and will gladly return if we're ever looking for future accommodations in Windsor.

Very convenient location as we stayed at this hotel during a swim meet. The Windsor International Aquatic pool is a five minute walk. The staff at this brand new hotel were super accommodating, the queen beds were comfortable, room was very clean, the breakfast was more than we expected at a Holiday Inn Express. Quieter than the other hotel on Ouellette Street. Parking was $15 a day, however, we were able to find street parking. Definitely would stay here again.

My husband and I and another couple stayed at the new Holiday Inn Express last weekend (December 16, 2017) for an evening. We were pleasantly surprised with the contemporary design of the hotel which we understood had just been renovated by the new owner.

The ambiance of the hotel is very welcoming - lots of window light and a fresh look. The rooms are very well done with extra amenities. Everything is so clean and you can see real pride of ownership. Amazing view of the river and the city lights from our hotel room. It's located just two blocks from Casino Windsor - a very short walk away. The hot breakfast in the morning is really quite good and the design of the dining room feels like an upscale hotel in Toronto. Staff are exceptional; kudos to manager Felipe Gomez for his warm hospitality and special welcome. All in all, a total delight. Would hesitate for a moment to recommend this property to anyone.

Room tip: Only stayed once but really enjoyed the riverview room.

Average hotel, just a place to sleep at and nothing more.
Nice service.
The worst breakfast ever!
The room is not very clean or inviting.
Don't go on weekend if you want to sleep (the families with the kids who play in the corridors will not let you sleep)

The view to the river and Detroit is amazing and that is one of the only good things in this hotel.

Room tip: Ask for a room onhigh floor with a view to the river.

Close to Detroit tunnel and bridge
Recently renovated
Room had nice view of downtown detroit

CONS
Rooms are very small
No parking spots available. Had to park across the street.
Hotel very noisy at night. Was woken up several times due to very loud people in the hallway
Breakfast area was small and busy. No seats available. No eggs or milk left.

We are very sorry that we didn't delivered this past weekend. We had a group in house for the first time and been a new hotel we didn't had a history on this group. We put extra security on the weekend to ensure that all our guest would had a good night rest, some did respect others didnt understand the hotel enviroment . We have 2 floors for breakfast seating, but apparently all the guest chosen to be on the same floor. Some of our new fridges had some challenges the day before and also we were not prepared for the large amount of milk consumed.

I can asure you that our staff feels very bad about your experience.

Please contact our hotel for us to provide a rebate to your account.

Once again we apologize for the experince and hope that you will give us another opportunity.
