We were looking for something to do and stumbled upon the St Lawrence Market and Paddingron’s. Never heard of Peameal bacon but I am going to definitely look for it at home.

There are plenty of places in the market to get your hands on one of these famous sandwiches

Paddington’s had the largest queue (almost out of the doors) so we joined it !

Freshly made in a lovely fresh bread roll (cake if your from Yorkshire !)

Two sandwiches come in just under $15 Canadian ! Not the cheapest but they do say you get what you pay for

Go heavy on the delicious relish really brings it all together

When visiting Toronto for a weekend, we like to check out restaurants that are near where we are staying. We investigated and saw that the Market is open on Friday and they had a sit down restaurant. Loved that the coffee came in a thermal carafe, just frustrated that it only holds 3 cups. Breakfast consisted of the Western (hash brown, brown bread for toast) and the West Coast Eggs Benedict (Medium poached, hash browns). Both meals were very good. The wait staff were friendly and polite. We will be back.

Most Sunday mornings, I go down to the Antique Market at St. Lawrence Market, and after pop into Paddington's for some breakfast. Although it may be quite busy, the staff hustle to get the food out of the kitchen and keep the tables turning over. The ham and egss is quite well done, and there is lots of food. Others try the peameal bacon specials or larger breakfast combinations with pancakes. Nothing too fancy, just great food, good service and friendly staff.

St.Lawrence Market is a MUST visit in Toronto, wonderful place.

But not many places to sit down and eat. This place is a great place to start a morning, serious value prices and delicious food. I love their Benedict so much.

Coffee comes in a carafe.

Start your Market morning here!
