Beautiful restaraunt. Open kitchen is amazing and the lay out allows for an intimate dinner even in a large space.
Cocktails were spot on! Really well mixed even if the bartender had to keep going out back to get new bottles, seemed everything was out of stock. A waiter came in to bar to get. A beer, broke a glass in the rinse station and just sort of brushed it aside. A little unnerving.
Got seated promptly by very nice host. Ordered onion soup- mainly because of reviews and my guess is the chef has not actually tasted their product (this is a re occurring theme throughout the dinner). The soup was extremely salty and more like onion stew with no broth at all. Over powering amount of cheese and for 22.00 you would expect a bit more care on the prep. Note we were at the start of dinner service so not the end of the night pot of soup.
We also got steak frites which came perfectly cooked, however once again the level of salt on the fries made them almost inedible. The steak was not seasoned at all, maybe balance that. Again, the chef could easily try a fry before serving. Poor kitchen production for this level of place.
What way amazing- the wait staff wa an excellent and the bread, oh my! I could have just ate bread and the cocktails and probably given a 5 star review, unfortunately we wanted dinner.
