Very nice ambiance. Nicely presented dishes. I tried the mango, tamarind martini and Picaditas de Pulpo (Octopus) for appetizer and Pescado el Pastor for main entry. The martini was a good mix. loved it. Octopus and the fried bean base wasn't a good combination for me. But I loved the Pescado el Pastor. It was Delicious!!!. Friendly service. Could feel a bit slow. But I have nothing to complain. We were well taken care of. Diffidently will recommend to friends and will come back to try the dessert menu .

We were there at the end of July - went there because it was a short walk from our hotel. It was a last minute reservation and we are SO glad we went. Being from Southern California, we've had some very good Mexican food. The food at Los Colibris was the BEST we've ever had: authentic and flavorful. We all ordered different things and tasted each other's meals...there wasn't one dish that wasn't met with a "wow, wish I ordered that"...it was all superb! The wait staff was great. Next time I'm in Toronto, it's the first place I'm going.

Attended a business meeting here (20+) people. Instead of individual choices, they kept bringing different plates to try and share. Tried at least 10 different ones and most of them where outstanding. Salad was good but nothing special compared with the other dishes. Will come again. Service was a bit slow but good considering such a large group.

Great place for Mexican food and excellent drinks! Loved the tapas too (highly recommend the salmon ceviche!) Very nice ambience, slightly more upscale (although you can dress casual). Dessert was also excellent! Highly recommend the dulce ice cream and très leches cake.

We came to Los Colibris during Toronto's Estrella Damm Tapas Journey Week, August 11-20, 2017. 0Great opportunity to try some of the 38 Toronto restaurants at a fixed price for 3 tapas and 1 Estrella Damm for $20 pp.....similar to the "Summerlicious" event.

Los Colibris is a formal Mexican food experience...white tablecloths, dark, low ceilings, oil paintings, rich, blood-red walls, and candles. If you are wearing jeans, you might feel awkward. Many well-dressed patrons probably come after a theatre show, next door. Two dining rooms are split with a corrugated glass wall, giving the restaurant a very intimate, cosy look at first glance. The restaurant is actually quite large.

Open kitchen at the back.

Long bar and spacious lounge at the front.

Tables for two in east dining room are 12" apart...a little too close for me.

We were lucky to be offered one of the more comfortable round table booths, upholstered in luxurious red striped fabric.

3 tapas...(2 tiny tortillas and 1 empanada) in a Yucatan/Mexico City style were delicate morsels of taste and texture.

Excellent service.

Thank m p
