Travelling with our daughter, I'm so happy we have found this great place. Right in the heart of Toronto. For someone who only ever books hotels, I am so happy we found this place. Booked 9 months in advance and has really lived up to our expectations. Fantastic greeting on arrival after a long flight from the UK. All explained and an information pack and telephone number should we need any help. I would use MLH Luxury Suites again. Only suggestion would be that, possibly you could supply info on what festivals, activities etc are happening in the week we arrive. Feel 5 days is not enough in this fab city! Would definitely recommend to anyone considering staying here.
The location of the apartment was great. Really central to some of the major attractions like Old City Hall and Yonge Street. A number of parking garages available, though a little pricy if you end up leaving you car overnight plus a few hours. The building itself was originally The Graphic Art Building..now listed on the historic buildings registry i believe. But you would never know that this building houses both offices and apartments/lofts, until you enter the building and see two doors..the one on your right hand side, leads to the residential side of the building. the other door is the office building...The soundproofing in the apartment was really good, though with the construction going on right next door, it got a little loud in the morning but the window is pretty thick which helped reduced the noise. We always stay in hotels when we go on holiday. this was the first time we stayed in an apartment, but it felt really nice to have that sort of independence.
The owner of the apartments, Michael, was great! Friendly and really helpful. He called a couple of times to see if everything was okay - if we got lost on the way to the apartment as it took a little longer than about half hour to drive from the airport. But he met us personally when we checked in. He was very cool with us checking in early. He gave us a list of places to local things like grocery stores, drug stores, etc...the apartment was clean and filled with all the things to make staying in the apartment so convenient (e.g., like waste bin liners, laundry and dish washer detergent, etc (there was a washing machine and drier in one of the closets). The wifi/internet access was always on and pretty good speed.
And it was a trip passing by the Google building on our way to and from the apartment. When next in Toronto, we would definitely stay in MLH Luxury Suites.
