We were looking for a nice place to spend our last night in Toronto. Walking through Little Italy, we arrived in front of Hapa Izakaya that intrigued us by the crowd on the terrace. The oldshcool rnb music just transported us and we had an amazing time in there. The kitchen was about to close, but the server made his possible to bring us a delicious tasty hot tapas: fried fish with an incredible tartar sauce. Staff are very friendly and smiling. Everything was perfect for a last night in the beautiful city of Toronto.

Here's a nice, easy and welcoming restaurant in College street where you will feel at home no matter of the time of your visit. The personnel will greet you (Sashai!) and help through a large (but not too dispersive) menu that coalesces japanese Izakaya and the tapas formula. I come here quite often for tasty, immediate dishes such as the scallop tartar, halibut tacos, or the Teryaki Bao sliders, and a lovely choice of beers on tap. Large selection of spirits and good for cocktails lovers. Mostly a lively place preferred by the young, but even a seasoned goat like me doesn't feel out of context.

Hapa is one of the participating restaurants for Winterlicious festival which I was much looking forward to and it lived up to my expectations. Food was really nice and so was the service. Please try to Tomkatsu and matcha crème brûlée. It's to die for.

We love the miso pork stone rice bowls! Excellent and just perfect. Nice dining atmosphere and a really friendly manager named Mckenzie who cares about customer service. We have been here many times now and enjoy our visit more and more each time.
