“did the job”
Reviewed 30 March 2012

Stayed here for 5 days for training in the same building. Was a good hotel - some weird smell in the hallway on the 9th floor which we mentioned to the front desk staff. No fridge in room. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Clean rooms - no problems. Close to many restaurants and could walk to lots of things to do. Only ate at the restaurant once, servers were nice, food was also good for the price.

Room Tip: maybe stay away from the 9th floor until they get the smell figured out

Dear Guest, Thank you for letting people know about us and your stay. We do have fridges in all our suites which is 50% of our property and do have spare fridges that can be sent up at your request. Also thank you for letting us know about the odd smell on the floor. We will get our housekeeping and maintenance team to look into this ASAP. Once again thank you for your review and we hope to see you next time.

Check in was a breeze very friendly front desk service. We were in a King suite 1 night at 134.00 with tax which we thought was very reasonable. The location was awesome for shopping, 15 minute walk to Eatons Centre. Tim Hortons practically next door. There is the Keg Mansion just down the road! Also a cute park right across the road. The room was perfect! It was clean which is the most important thing I look for. Bed was comfy, overall a nice stay. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, Which by the way is open til midnight! Yes parking was an extra $20 BUT elevator took you right to your car in the underground parking AND you have 'come and go privilages'. There is no complaint from myself about the extra cost of parking because it was actually pretty convenient and not far at all! Overall great night stay can't wait to book at this hotel again next time in Toronto.

Room air unit was not working when we arrived. Room was very stuffy. Front desk was nice about this and sent someone right away, but he only got it partially fixed- we could not use the thermostat. Only glass or cups available were paper cups; not very nice for drinks. Turned on the TV: cable was not working properly. Image was terrible. I had to pull out the furniture, and play around with the wire until we finally got a decent picture. Moving the furniture again was causing the wire to disconnect, so we had to leave it pulled out. The room was large and comfy otherwise, but there was no desk to work at. Then when came time to check out, the clerk tried to charge me an extra $20 than what our reservation through PRICELINE had. We had to get our documentation to 'prove' that I was correct. No manager was on the premise. Also, parking was an extra $22. I was not impressed, and will not return.

Room Tip: There are other hotels nearby, one next door actually. I would suggest you book there.

Dear Guest, I am sorry to hear that your stay was less than 100% perfect. We did just have all new 40” flat screen T.V.’s installed on site and I will have to look into why the picture was not clear for you. It does sound like a cord could have come loose. I do see on your reservation that the rate was corrected for you and looks like it was just an error entering your reservation into our system. When it comes to parking in downtown Toronto unfortunately it is very hard to find any parking anywhere that does not charge. At $22.00 plus taxes per night not only do we believe that this is it a fair price but we are at the lower end comparatively to all other hotels in the area. Please do not hesitate to call me at 416-977-4823 Ext. 7265 if you wish to speak further about your stay so that we can correct any other issue you may have had for future guest. Thank you

So, first off parking. parking is fine because its under ground parking. Check in was a breeze. No problem. Assigned us our room. Get in the room. They said it is all newly renovated. first impression is not bad, but it seems like they rushed the renovation. The floor is so creeky. Very loud. The door handle from the inside is basically falling off. The washroom faucet is not even tighten. The beds are very worn out, does not have the fluff to it anymore. We thought the room was clean until near the end of our stay, we found a used condom behind the bed, but other than that. customer service was great. Very friendly and when we asked for extra towels, it was brought up to us right away. Asked if we wanted to move rooms, for the other concerns, but we were already settled in. If your using this hotel for a overnight hotel because your going to visit the clubs in Toronto, its a bad location. Not even close to the clubs. I personally don't know if i would return here. It was just okay.

i am travelling all around the world and staying all kind off hotels and beleive that this is the worst hotel i have ever seen. they dont have any room service but they are saying that they have. when you are ill they dont bring you any water and when you are speaking with them they can say shout you easily. also in a night time when your key is broken they can shout you easily too. after you start to take camera he can easily stop shouting and saying sir!! also they can threat you throw out of hotel and even they call the police they cant throw you cause they are not right. and when they are speaking on the phone with police they can easily say lies to police. it happend only 15 mins ago and i am still writing this from my room. if you want to have a nice stay dont choose that terrible hotel in Toronto. you can easily find beter service around.i will try to sue them. i wanted to load the video but it is aroud 20 mins.

Room Tip: do not select Ramada hotels; they dont have any complaint area in their global web site

Dear Guest, thank you for taking the time to talk to me today about the issue last night. As you are well aware the Front Desk staff at any hotel cannot just issue keys for a room at a simple request. I.D. must be shown in order to receive a key to any room for the security of the hotel and all of our guests. Next time, when you check in to any hotel and have another person in the room please attach the second person’s name to the room so that we at the hotel can issue keys properly.
I’m sorry to hear in your review last night that this has deterred you from further booking of any Ramada around the world and hope that the conversation that we had today will help in repairing any lost in confidence you may have.
If you have any further concerns about this or anything else that I can help with please do not hesitate to contact myself at (416)977-4823 Ext. 7265
