Great service, lovely hotel, great location. Room was small, opt for the bigger room if that matters to you. Food was outstanding. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices were high but everything in that area was. Lots of elevators, rarely a wait
Our experience was fantastic. The room was incredible. Lots of room for four over looking Union Station. It was our anniversary as well so the champagne and chocolate was a special touch. The staff was fantastic and helpful all the time. The restaurant food was incredible! Best fries I have every had!! The amenities were fantastic as well as we used the pool during our visit.
Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, and a historic landmark itself--a stay here was a must. The Hotel Lobby was beautiful, and really what you are paying for as the rooms are nothing special (and very much the same standard of room you could get at any hotel i.e.: Best Western). The parking garage was full before we got there--and we received no notification that was the case (we checked the website and found out this information. Luckily there are two garages under the same block (well with walking distance). The Hotel is walking distance to a lot of great amenities and right across the street from Union Station. The fridge in the room was full of items--which if you remove and even if you don't use them (i.e.: to put your own beverages in), you will be charged for them--maybe a better system is required.
My family was celebrating my daughter's birthday with the Harry Potter play at the Mirvish Theatre, and a night at the Royal York. Initially our rooms were incorrect, however this was quickly addressed by the front desk staff. Dinner at REIGN was great. Kevin provided excellent service throughout the evening including a special birthday dessert for my daughter. My wife and I shared a couple of drinks at the Clockwork while the kids enjoyed shirley temples. We loved the DJ - this is the first time the kids have been able to enjoy a live set. We had a great time and will be back for sure.
Not so thrilled by the fact that internet access was not included as part of my reservation. Had to sign up to become a member prior to getting free access. Most hotels usually have free wifi without membership.
