We had a few hours layover in Toronto and actually, having arrived so early in the city, we were able to get to CN tower as soon as it opened. there virtually no lines and it was easy to enjoy the city view and snap pictures as there were few people there. The visit itself is somewhat short.. we were there for maybe a 1h-1h30... by the time we left, around 11am, lines were long and we were glad we did not have to wait just as long in line as to visit it. Was it worthy it? Yes, we enjoyed it. Is it a can't miss it? Not sure.

Going up the CN Tower was a good experience and worth the money, if you like heights then this is one to try....

The glass floor from over 1,100 feet up is thrilling and terrifying at the same time. I double dog dare you to start 5 feet away and walk straight across without flinching!

Only reason this one gets a 4 is the lines. I bet they can get really long in peak season. As Yogi Berra put it, "Nobody goes there. It's too crowded."

The CN Tower is a must-do when in Toronto. We had heard horror stories of very long lines to get in, but when we visited it was very quiet. It took about 10 minutes from arriving to reaching the observation level. The pass for the skypod level was included for free as an added bonus. Great views in all directions and a very large gift shop. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Ive been to the CN Tower five times now. Its normally very good but this time it was afwul. This is largely due to a refurb which is currently underway.

To compensate for this when entering you are offered the chance to visit the skypod for free. This is the top point which guests can go enjoy the views. That was a nice sweetener but on arriving in the observation area we were told that the wait to go to skypod was around two hours. The observation area was packed, there was nowhere to sit except the floor and no refreshment areas, the vending machines were empty. Due to all this we really did not want to spend two hours waiting before having to queue again for skypod.

The views up the tower are great and will be even better due to floor to ceiling windows but in my opinion the tower should be closed during the refurb. There were far too many people up there and had there been a need for evacuation there would have been chaos due to long lines of guests waiting to go down in the elevators.

Staff looked edgy and anxious as they clearly had their hands full helping far too many people.

If you go up there at the moment expect to be jostled around and be prepared to negotiate an assault course of people, queues and pushchairs. All in all this was an uncomfortable experience and in my opinion the tower should either be closed or the number of guests up there be limited during busy periods. Avoid until the refurb is complete.
