“Best brunch in Toronto by far”

Absolutely love this place, the food is simply gorgeous. Be prepared to queue up for at least 30 mins on weekend, but well worth the wait. Poached eggs are the best.

“Don't be fooled by the shabby chic decor”
Reviewed 28 November 2011

This place has fantastic food! Clean, bright, perfectly presented plates. I tried spinach eggs benny, he tried daily soup (curry) and mango salmon cilantro sandwich. I think the food was in our bellies within 6 minutes. Plastic water glasses reminiscent of school cafeterias - representative of the charming and low key decor (think delightful artistic neighbour who collects retro salt and pepper shakers). This place is all about the food and deserves the line up.

“Groove on by”
Reviewed 2 October 2011

Leslieville again has another gem in it's midst. With Bob Dylan crooning, the retro 60's feel comes alive with their vibrant and eclectic menu offerings. The seven or eight choices of eggs Benedict alone gives enough reason for repeat visits. The rich lemony hollandaise sauce is so satisfying that one makes to take an extra minute to digest its awesome full flavor. The homefries are complimented perfectly by a sprinkling of paprika that gives a "good morning" to your taste buds. The only things working against Lady Marmalade are that its only open to 4 during the week and 3 on the weekend, with food this good you want an all day affair. Also, more payment options would be ideal other than just cash. The service was friendly and the food was quickly served. I would go out of my to visit Lady marmalade as it was really that good of an experience.

“Kitschy atmosphere, great bennies!”
Reviewed 1 October 2011

Lady Marmalade is a fav Leslieville spot for brunch with "the girls". Everytime I go I promise myself that I will try something different but I end up ordering the same thing again, the eggs bennie with roasted veggies and aged white cheddar - they're just that good! The best bennies ever!

Definitely worth the drive down from Markham and Newmarket, but be prepared for the line-up, it can take up to 30 minutes to get a table on a Sunday morning at 10:30. Arrive earlier if you don't want to wait.
