This is a very big beautifully restored theater--look around for nice lights and decorations. The areas before you go to your seats in the theater are quite modern on each level, with several chairs and couches for use while waiting, and good restrooms on two of the levels.. The orchestra level waiting area connects by just a few steps to an attractive theater gift shop you'll enjoy visiting.
We saw a play at the Avon again this summer and to save money, we again chose seats several rows from the stage and quite far over on the left side. Yes, center seats are more appealing, but can be quite expensive. However, even side seats are comfortably well padded, with sufficient leg room, and still provide good views of the stage.
