My sister and I stayed at Ambercroft for 2 nights in July. The 4-bedroom house is lovely -- very clean and comfortable. Leanne and Julie were fantastic hosts, checking in with us about our room temperature (the Summer room can get a bit warmer than the other rooms), and sharing information about places to eat and shows to see. Breakfast was delicious both days. With fruit/granola, Layla curl buns, delicious coffee, and a protein-packed entree, we did not leave hungry! I can't stop thinking about Julie's amazing pea salad. I'm looking forward to staying here again next summer.

Room Tip: It looks like all rooms can be set up with a King bed or 2 twin beds, which is great. The Summer room can get a bit warmer than the others.

My husband and I spent one lovely night at the Ambercroft on our trip across Ontario. This is a beautiful B&B and we could not have felt more welcomed. From the homemade cookies to the delicious breakfast, everything was perfect. Our fellow guests were charming and "the sisters" gave us wonderful advise and directions on what to see in Stratford. We had a memorable evening in this beautiful town and could not have picked a better place to stay.

Just spent a weekend at this beautifully and comfortably laid out and maintained B&B. Truly a home away from home, except that your breakfast and room are nicely prepared for you, and you meet interesting new people every morning. On top of that the location is ideal for theatre goers as all the venues are a pleasant, short walk from there. Thanks for a great visit. Will definitely return.

We have just returned from a four night stay at Ambercroft and were very pleased. Our room was clean and comfortable. Each breakfast consisted of yogurt with fresh fruit, a delicious protein filled entree, homemade muffins and Layla curls, fruit juice and fresh brewed coffee. Hostess Lianne and chef Julie were gracious and accommodating. The guest kitchen provides bottled water, fresh lemon water, an assortment of teas and coffees and fresh homemade cookies each day. In addition, each guest room provides a small fridge. We look forward to returning in 2016.

Leanne has put a lot of thought into Ambercroft and it shows. The room we were in was most pleasant. It had room to sleep, room to sit, places to put things, well-supplied bathroom, no troubles with temperature of room. We haven't had a room this perfect in a long time. Common areas pleasant as well as breakfast room. So nice, sad we only had one night to stay.

One night also, sadly, highlighted the breakfast and it is hard to say this. Julie is a pastry artist. An artist. Her baked goods are a true delight. Tasty cookies, lovely muffins and sticky buns. But there is more to life than pastry, especially at breakfast. The signature dish for our breakfast was "tiramisu french toast cake". It was a delight to see and a wonder to taste. But on top of muffins and sticky buns? Dough, dough, dough! Even with the yogurt and fruit it was hardly a balanced breakfast and my friend and I both needed lunch. Stratford is just heading that way, each B&B is going "gourmet" and although I appreciate the talent, it just isn't breakfast the way the B&B's used to do it.

So be warned - adventure comes with the breakfast. If that is your thing, enjoy Julie's ride!

Leanne and Julie are both personable hosts. Very nice people, know Stratford well.

Ambercroft is also very close to the Avon theatre, which was what we needed.
