“We hope to be back!”
Reviewed 29 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Our extended family group of six adults and three children stayed in this house over the Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend plus a couple of extra days. We had ample space to be together and also for time away from the entire group. Except for the first day when it rained, we had good weather which meant we spent time outside on the lovely grounds. We all found the location to be excellent and look forward to a future stay.

This is a grand old house. Built in about 1860 it has 11 ft. ceilings, big rooms and lots of original features. The bedrooms are all on the second floor leaving lots of room on the main floor to congregate or spread out for a little privacy. The property is a fraction of the size that it was in 1860 but it still spans double sized city lot with lots of space to enjoy and grass for me to mow! Thank you for your review and I do hope to accommodate your group again.

“Beautiful house with a great location”
Reviewed 11 October 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The Marrakech Mansion was beautifully decorated with enough room for our extended family of 8 people including children and grandparents. The outside of the house was our favorite with a well maintained lawn, colorful flowers and multiple seating areas. The location of the property could not have been better for us. The street was quiet but within walking distance to restaurants and ice cream shops. We didn't need to use our car at all.

Marrakech Mansion is located in the heart of the Historic District of Niagara on the Lake, Old Town in local terms. The home was built in about 1860 and was originally on a much larger tract of land. What remains of the land is a double sized city lot measuring 106 feet by 126 feet. There is lots of room to park cars (5 easily) as well as lots of grass to run and play on. The flower gardens are full of roses and other flowering plants. You are 1/2 block from Queens Royal Park where you can watch the sailboats come in after a day or racing and a block from Queen street with its theatres and restaurants. The house is decorated the way our home is, we love it and hope others do as well.

“Old College friends enjoying theater, NOTL, and shopping.”
Reviewed 10 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

NOTL is rich with places to stay, but (with the possible exception of Casablanca), Marrakech is unique. From first impression to lingering memory, this Victorian 'lady' is true to her generous character in offering her guests comfort, charm, and convenience. She surrounds them with warmly decorated rooms including a well-stocked library, dining room, living room, and fully equipped kitchen. The bedrooms are comfortable and restful, the bathroom and toilet clean and convenient. Appliances and electronics are up-to-date. The house is set amid a generous lawn and garden and well located for a quick walk to the grocery, shops, restaurants, and theaters.
This is a well-cared for home that is cherished by its guests.

This is a well-cared for home that is cherished by its guests. The past sentence was the last line of the review that this return guest left. This is the memory that I want guests to go away with. My cleaning staff work hard to keep the house clean and well stocked. I work at the gardens and general maintenance. We want you to enjoy your stay in Niagara on the Lake and have fond memories of the house as this group does who have returned several times.

“excellent and relaxing residence for two families with kids”
Reviewed 3 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We had a great time and the house was perfect for our group, which included 4 adults and 5 kids ages 11 and under. The house was clean, quiet and spacious and the property as well as location were charming. Would highly recommend this cottage to others visiting Niagara-on-the-Lake.

The house was built in about 1860 on a property that back then was bigger than it is now. We still have a double sized city lot with lots of perennials, grass and sitting and eating areas. The lake is only 1/2 block away and Queen street a block in the other direction. It is hard to find a better location in Niagara on the lake. The ceilings are 10ft, the floors and baseboards original. Lots of room to kick back and enjoy your vacation.

Thank you for your review. My cleaning crew take great pride in their work, the husband and wife team have worked for me for many years, they do a great job. (I own Casablanca Cottage as well, and they also clean it.) The house is one block from Queen street and 1/2 block from Queens Royal park on the river. The park is my favourite evening spot, take along a glass of wine and watch the sail boats come it. The gardens at the Mansion are extensive, the property is a "double lot" so there is lots of grass and flowers, and spaces to enjoy summer.
